Chlo’s Corner Chloe has been diagnosed with Medulloblastoma which is a highly aggressive form of brain cancer

27/01/2024

Chloe started her final inpatient chemo tonight. Her cardiologist in Springfield gave her the ok to finish he would just monitor her every two months to make sure the fluid around her heart doesn’t get any worse. She had to have another surgery done yesterday to replace her g tube that had become displaced and caused inflammation and possible cellulitis most likely right after it was inserted back in November. The drs here assured us the infection was gone and it was safe to start chemo so please say a prayer for chloe to get through this last round ..

We’ve had a stressful busy time since chloe was released from her last inpatient chemo. She had an ekg which showed normal sinus rhythm but showed other abnormalities which the drs said could be the placement of the stickers I asked for a repeat and it showed the same but with more abnormalities. She had an echocardiogram done results were small pericardial effusion which could explain chloe’s shortness of breath and psychological tricuspid regurgitation so with all this and her weight loss (20 pounds ) since the start Chloe is waiting to speak to the cardiologist and her team to see if the benefits out way the risk of completely her last round of chemo.she is having a very hard time she’s in extreme pain from her gtube which is normal when counts are low. She has been in the infusion center twice this week each time getting blood and platelets. We are working on her weight trying anything to get it up and she sees the cardiologist next week so hopefully everything works out to where she can finish her last round safely and on time.
