We are a small fitness center in Albia, IA. We offer all-levels yoga classes. We are open by appointment.

We are a small fitness facility located at 112 South Main, just south of the square in Albia. Brenda Newman & Brigitte Mohler are Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teachers with their RYT-200. They have been offering yoga classes since 2014. Along with a regular yoga schedule there is a gym with a variety of equipment available to members. Please set an appointment to view our facility and to sign up for a membership. Our goal is to offer classes and equipment to suit the needs of a broad variety of people. We have a yoga studio located on the second floor, an area available for additional classes, ellipticals and treadmills, as well as free weights and some additional weight machines. [05/01/20]   The gym will reopen tomorrow morning (5/1/20). If you had a gym membership and did not hear from us please send a message or email [email protected] and we will get you set back up. We will NOT be accepting any new members at this time.

Please, please, please take all precautionary methods necessary to keep yourself and others safe while we still navigate this new world involving COVID-19. Stay 6 feet apart from anyone else using the facility (unless you are distancing together), if there are a lot of other people using the facility consider coming back at a different time, keep your hands clean and clean any equipment that you use, consider wearing a mask. This list is not exhaustive, but please exercise caution at this time as the recommendations again may change.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

It looks as though we will be able to reopen the gym in a limited capacity on Friday, May 1st. We will not be taking any new members at this time. I will be reaching out and arranging payment for memberships that were affected by the closure. Feel free to contact us if you haven't heard from us as we make our way through the list.

We ask that everyone proceed with caution and still take the necessary safety recommendations provided by the CDC.


If you feel ill, stay home and take care of yourself.
Feel free to bring or wear a mask to contain coughs or sneezes or add another layer of protection if others are using the facility.
We will have sanitizing wipes and spray handy. Bring your own hand sanitizer if you'd like.
Please sanitize any equipment you use, even the TV remote.
If there are other people using the cardio equipment, leave a machine between and least the 6 feet of recommended distance.

What does it mean to trust the universe? We don't know what will happen to us in life, but we know we are part of a complex system of interconnectivity. Whatever may happen, we are deeply woven into the fabric of the entire universe. So when you feel alone, when you feel alienated, when you feel lesser than, remember this: There is nowhere else you need to be. You are never alone. You are fine as you are. Gov. Reynolds issues state of public health disaster emergency, closing Iowa businesses


B Fitness will be closing its doors at 12:00 today. We will have the door locked. Let us know if there is anything you need from the facility.

We will suspend any automatic memberships for the time being and will extend memberships that will be affected by this mandated closure.

kcci.com Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a state of public health disaster on Tuesday, forcing the closures of establishments across the state.

[03/15/20]   We have decided to cancel our group classes for the rest of the month. (Pending developments and spread of the COVID-19.) We could not bear the thought that we be responsible for spreading this virus to those we care about most during the time when it is most crucial to practice “social distancing”.

We plan to use this time to continue progress on our new studio space as well as refresh some aspects of our practice and teaching with continuing education. This week we hope to have a few yoga and yoga shred workouts available to print and will be working on some options for online classes. We all know how much better it feels after we've been to a yoga class, but hopefully we can all be better about adopting some sort of a home practice. (Even if it's only 5-10 minutes.) Our bodies and minds will thank us for it. We will offer discounts when we resume classes to those whose memberships have been affected by our temporary closure.

The B Fitness Gym will also be closed until further notice. Stay home and stay well!

We understand that none of this is pleasant or convenient and we would much rather spend our time with you, but we want to do what is best for ourselves and our community.

Beginners Yoga Classes will begin THIS WEEK and will be on Thursdays from 5:15 to 6:00 pm and will cost $25 for the month. It's a great way to get started and learn some of the basics of breathing and poses that you will find in our yoga classes. We still have a few spots available for anyone who would like to join!

[02/13/20]   No Thursday classes (12/13) due to the cold.

It looks like we should have a more mild week, so we hope to be on for the regular schedule! The parking lot, alley and yoga door are pretty slushy and slick, so please be careful on your way to and from the gym and yoga classes. If you do park along Main Street and want to use the gym door to come to yoga we will have the middle door unlocked around class times (text or PM if you need the code).

Happy New Year! We are already moving right along into 2020.

REMINDER: Beginner's yoga begins this week! I still have some spots available if you would like to join us! If you would like to participate but Tuesdays at 5:15 don't work, we would love to have you join us for a regularly scheduled class.

{Yoga classes are for all levels. Beginners are encouraged to join our beginners yoga classes, but it's definitely not required! If there is a time that works for you and you would like to join or try out a class, please let us know. We would love to see you.

Yoga Shred is a 20-minute class that is meant to get your heart rate up but exercises can be modified to increase or decrease the intensity based on your fitness level.

Slow Flow Yoga is great for anyone. It is a great way for seniors to get active and to incorporate exercise in a mindful way but it's also great for anyone who needs to slow down or incorporate cross training and stretching.

Weight Circuit aka Low Impact Interval Training is a 30-minute class that uses light weights and incorporates a circuit of exercises working all major muscle groups and light cardio training.}

Yoga classes are 10 for $70, 5 for $40 or $10 drop-ins. Combination gym and yoga packages are $60/month, $165/3-months or $500/year. Add yoga shred for an extra $10.

Yoga Shred is $70 and includes gym and yoga classes. If you don't want to commit to the whole month, drop ins are welcome.

Gym memberships are $30/month ($26.75 with auto pay), $75/3-months, or $300/year. Please set up an appointment if you would like to view or sign up for a gym membership.

Happy 2020! There will be yoga tonight at 5:15 pm and afterwards at 6:25 pm we will have our first Yoga Shred of the New Year! If you'd like to join us for yoga shred classes send a PM or text message to 641-799-8988 and we'll get you set up.

Yoga Shred classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:25 to 6:45 pm, Tuesdays from 11:00 to 11:20 am, Thursdays (a little change up with a light weight circuit class) from 9:30 to 10:00 am, and Saturdays from 7:25 to 7:45 am.

$70 for the month includes yoga, yoga shred, and gym access. If you would like to participate in just the yoga shred classes the month is $50 or use our yoga class passes which are $40 for 5 classes or $70 for 10 classes and expire after a year.

As 2019 comes to a close most of us have goals and resolutions including health and fitness. As you know there are many ways to improve your well-being! We would love to help you on that journey!

Sometimes fitness at home works great for people, but it can be hectic and distracting. If you are interested in a gym membership they are $30/month, $75/3-months or $300 for the year. *low impact weight class is a half hour class that uses light weights in the gym to do a full body circuit. We do a variety of exercises targeting all of the major muscle groups.

We will continue Yoga Shred into January! $70 for the month includes unlimited yoga, yoga shred classes and gym. $30 for current gym or yoga members and $10 for unlimited members.
