Some times you just have to keep pushing forward. Past how you’re feeling in the moment because you know you’ll be happy you did in the end.
“You should feel beautiful and you should feel safe. What you surround yourself with should bring you peace of mind and peace of spirit.” —Stacy London
A couple of things I love in yoga - a shoulder stretch & to bump to good music. I often laugh at the range of emotions displayed on my face when I practice. This is me at home and in the studio... Luckily @gabriella.dondero couldn’t see my faces via zoom 😝 specifically the ones at the end 🤣
No matter how much I love yoga and how it makes me feel, stepping on to my mat takes effort. Some days it’s easier than others. Some days I can’t wait to roll out my mat and get moving and others require pep talks reminding myself that although I don’t feel like it right now, I need it today. No matter the mood I start my practice in, I always feel amazing once it’s over. Whether it’s a 10 min routine or an hour, I’m always glad that I got up and moved.
Set time today to get up and move. You will not regret it.
Not sure where to start? I teach Monday Nights. Check out PonsYoga.com for info.
Following @gabriella.dondero - trying a little WORK FROM HOME #officeyoga 🤫 need an office stretch? A quick video on simple stretches you can try is coming soon 😉 ... this one is not in that video! I don’t suggest trying this at home 😜 #shhh #donttellmyboss #gabmademedoit

Props all day. Having a strap and 2 blocks handy for any class can make all the difference. There are several poses like this one which I can’t practice without them.
Staring to find float on my forearms! Still shocks me from tune to time. From this angle you can see how my back does not bend. Like at all. In this pose, it’s kind of an advantage. It allows me to sink Into it. Gotta work on stronger core engagement and activation of my legs. Scorpion 🦂 forearm stand (Vrschikasana)

I step away to get water and Ace wants to give it go. His face watching the video had me 💀. I can relate to that face. “Put my what ... where?” 😳 I make that face all the time. The trick... don’t over think it. Just try and let it go.
Because I can’t film in my living room without Ace 🐶 requiring to take the spot light... take 8 🎬... 🤦🏻♀️

Keep Practicing! Yoga With Dawn Marie gave me the “oh sh*t” moment when she announced walking away 🤣 but she always has my back 🙌
Practice, practice, practice and don’t tell yourself you can’t do something just because.
Gabriella stay hyping me up
It takes a village, a lot of practice, and apparently a couple of handcrafted miniature blocks lol. Anyone who has practiced with me knows that getting a handstand is a huge goal of mine (hence the celebration) but it isn’t an easy road and I still have a long ways to go. I’m so grateful to have the best teachers to guide me Victoria Arvizu Gabriella Laura Sykora Yoga and the entire Co-Op for support! High Energy Fusion Yoga
@srube7 This is our year!!

post class forearm stand practice - getting closer. After a 90 min class it’s hard to have the strength to continue but how else will I improve?
I feel fortunate to have this amazing space to come to for a recharge.
.
A couple of post class attempts at scorpion handstands... not bad, if I say so myself... and I do. 😉

Still on my journey but light years from where I started. You just have to keep taking steps forward. I love the support of the co-op 🙌 and my Handstand partner @srube7 - the energy and support they bring keep you going!
Still on a high from Sunday’s handstand workshop. @highenergyfusionyoga @victoria.arvizu
Backbends are my enemy 👿. Like many I have extremely tight quads and shoulders and my back does not bend. Add to that the fear of dropping back towards the ground 😳, no thank you. But the truth is dropping back into wheel is easier than pressing up from the ground (go figure 🤷🏻♀️). During @victoria.arvizu amazing class I had a break through... my first ever solo drop back into wheel 🙌! Even after a successful attempt in class it’s scary to try again without a spotter. But the tribe is so supportive and I have the best teachers who know how to push me so I had to keep trying. Tonight my mind was blown 🤯 I didn’t think I could do this - but with a little guidance I tried and I did it!
Pro Tip: don’t try to go back with 1 hand while the other holds the wall, that will NOT slow you down... you need both hands 🤕🤦🏻♀️. Check out @highenergyfusionyoga on YouTube for great tips on how to safely practice this. #soproudofmyself
When you realize you’re about to bust your a$$ and your training kicks in. So proud of the slow descent out of handstand. Probably my first real cartwheel out. Always practice! Especially in Paradise
