Our program for September is Build Your Case at the Courthouse by Larry W. Thomas, current President of the Genealogy Speakers Guild

Build Your Case at the Courthouse: This is a 1-hour overview of researching courthouses for estate records, land records, and other court papers in learning more about our ancestors. While judicial methods vary from state to state and community to community, they all process the same types of records. Therefore, this presentation is more about the records than the structure of the court system in any one location.

Larry has been doing Genealogy Research for 30 years. He is a graduate of ProGen 38 and member of the National Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, Genealogy Speakers Guild, Gwinnett Historical Society, Serves on the Board of the Georgia Genealogical Society, and a past president of the Cobb County Genealogy Society.

Larry assisted the TV show, Finding Your Roots hosted by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. on a number of episodes. Including Julia Roberts and Terry Crews.
