🌀Living with PoTS disease syndrome isn’t “just dizziness”

PoTS is a form of dysautonomia, meaning the autonomic nervous system - which looks after lots of the things we take for granted, like your heart beating , steady breathing and digestion - doesn’t regulate blood flow properly 😑.

⚠️Could It Be PoTS? The symptoms you shouldn’t ignore:

PoTS disease syndrome is an invisible illness that’s often missed, with the average diagnosis taking from 4–7 years according to PoTS UK 😩.

Early recognition can make a huge difference, so here are some red flags to look out for:

1️⃣ Dizziness or light-headedness
If you've got PoTS blood flow doesn’t reach the brain quickly enough, causing a temporary drop in oxygen and nutrients which can make you feel wobbly.

2️⃣ Rapid heart rate (Palpitations)
PoTS means your autonomic nervous system can't regulate heart rate, blood pressure and blood flow effectively, so your heart races to try and compensate for poor circulation and maintain blood pressure.

3️⃣ Fatigue
When your body is working overtime to pump blood and maintain stability, you'll quickly run out of fuel and feel so drained you may not have enough energy for everyday tasks.

Our Story

Sadie, our founder was diagnosed with ME/CFS in 2012 and later with Lyme disease. Her ill health meant she had no choice but to stop working, close her software company in Hong Kong and move back to the UK.

She spent years using various holistic interventions to regain her health, from diet to ozone therapy and many things in between. Each had a positive impact on her wellbeing, finally culminating in an ability and a need to, ‘Do something other than being ill!’

PatchMD vitamin patches from the USA were one of the successful interventions, but they weren’t readily available in the UK/EU, so in 2018 she founded PatchWorks UK and now imports them to sell this side of The Pond.
