Hopefully the vaccine will become available to our mighty warrior soon. From the first appointment when Covid hit our rheumatologist has recommended for us to protect Carmen and her weakened immune system. We have done our best to keep her and our other kiddos safe, even with the ridicule from those around us. The year has taught us how we can come together as a family unit to find out strength. This is not the time for us to throw in the towel yet. We will keep waiting and hoping to have access for protection for our warrior.

Carmen's infusion was last Friday, I am glad I was able to take her. I enjoy the wonderful staff and will miss them greatly. We had a visit today with her rheumatologist and she has to leave MSTI. This changes a lot for us we have been with MSTI since she was three years old; she will be ten at the end of the month. We have been through so much over the years with the support of her MSTI team. Carmen has dealt with failed medications, adverse reactions that were life threatening, and also has made some very special memories with the staff. Now they are offering weekly self injections, or move to another facility. I am having a difficult time deciding what we should do. My heart wants to protect her and keep her just where she is and with her team, but I can't she will have to change facilities no matter what. She is growing up and taking control, so maybe everything is going to go great. Should we change facilities or should we go with weekly self injections, that is the question really weighing on our hearts. The life of a

Today was one of those days where fatigue took over and Carmen had to call it an early day at school. Carmen was so emotional, uncomfortable and exhausted from the moment she woke up. Unfortunately anyday can turn into battle after having so many good days.
