60 years ago, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law. 📃🗳️

But that eventful day came from the hard-won victories secured by everyday people who risked their lives for justice.

Today, that victory is under attack. This regime is working to dismantle the very protections our ancestors bled for.

“There is no ‘safe’ way to advocate for justice… No strategy that will not involve sacrifice.”

The fight for voting rights has always required boldness.

It still does.

This anniversary is not the time to simply commemorate past progress. It’s a call to protect it in the present. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏿
