Valentine’s Day celebration in the comments⬇️❤️💝
But first, a few reminders:
🥰Self-love is just as important as romantic love.
💃🏼Platonic love is also love (aka don’t forget to tell/show your friends you love them!)
🥂Celebrate your people/person in small ways everyday.
😿If today is hard for you for any reason, find a few things to do that make you happy and treat yourself with patience and kindness.
NOW, let’s have fun in the comments⬇️ Tag a friend, compliment the person who commented above you, or give yourself a compliment (seriously...give yourself credit too!), and let’s spread some Valentine’s Day love!! 💕💕

Well, it looks a little more like Christmas here with all the snow, but I’m holding on to the Halloween spirit with a pic of my costume from last weekend💕

A moment of gratitude for the body positivity movement🙌🏼
I was scrolling through all my old FB pics from high school, and I saw this pic that I forced my brother to take of me. I distinctly remember that those were size 6 jeans, and I was terrified of being bigger than a size 8.
See, my mindset back then was all sorts of fu**ed up. If I wore a size in the double digits, it somehow correlated to my worth. It somehow meant that I was less worthy of the space that I took up, and less worthy of the happiness that I deserved. It breaks my heart to know that that 15-year-old version of me put so much pressure on herself to fit an ideal that was completely made up and irrelevant.
BUT, it created me into the person I am today. It helped me find food freedom and learn to not be ashamed of myself when I eat “too much” or “too unhealthily.” It helped me find a way to exercise on MY terms and for MY OWN health and well-being, rather than because someone else told me I needed to. It helped me say “EFF YOU” to the scale and measure my progress in different ways. It helped me become the woman I am today, and I’m damn proud of her.
You will doubt yourself and your worth. You will have setbacks. That’s how you grow and change and become better than you were before. But you’re not going to become better if you aren’t willing to question the “facts” you’ve been telling yourself your whole life. You will not become better if you’re unwilling to be challenged, and figure out how to FIGHT BACK against those challenges.
Would 15-year-old you be proud of you now? If the answer is no, what do you have to do to make it a resounding “HELL YES”? Go forth and fu***ng DO IT. Now and every single day.

“_________” is just as important as what you are eating.
I was talking with my Mom the other day, and she was telling me how she eats pretty healthy but still can’t lose the weight. She swapped her morning glass of lemonade for water, she’s been eating Ezekiel bread (with sprouted grain—basically the healthiest bread you can buy), and she’s been trying to limit her chocolate intake (I inherited my love of chocolate from her), and she STILL hasn’t lost weight consistently.
That’s because what you’re NOT eating is just as important as what you ARE eating. My mom HATES vegetables. So do I. And I know we aren’t the only two out there that hate veggies!! But the fact of the matter is, your body NEEDS those nutrients. Your body cannot function properly without an appropriate amount of ALL the food groups—including veggies and carbs (what did carbs ever do to you? Be nice to them, they’re important too!)
When you’re not fueling your body with the necessary nutrients that are found in vegetables (and fruits, and proteins, and carbs), you won’t see the progress you want to see, no matter how otherwise “healthy” you are. That’s why portions are so important. That’s why knowledge about nutrition is important. You could do everything else right, but if you don’t get your nutrition right, it won’t work.
But don’t worry! Nutrition doesn’t (and shouldn’t) have to be hard, restrictive, or limiting. If you saw my stories yesterday, you know I’m doing a nutrition-based bootcamp stating November 4th (that’s this Monday!). In the group, we’re going to talk about nutrition hacks, share recipes, and share mindset shifts based around food. And the best part? It’s 21 days long, so you’ll be done with this challenge in time for Thanksgiving💕 Message me or comment below for more details on this NUTRITION ONLY bootcamp—this will be the last one before 2020!

5 TIPS TO WORKOUT IN THE AM⏰
1. Sleep in your workout clothes. Waking up and having to change out of your warm pajamas and into cold workout clothes sucks! Sleeping in your workout clothes can eliminate that hassle and give you a better chance of getting out of bed for the early AM workouts.
2. Turn the light on first thing. Laying in bed is easy when it’s still dark in your room, so get in the habit of turning on the light after your alarm goes off.
3. Chug preworkout ASAP. Even if you’re still half asleep. Trust me.
4. Put on some music. Pick something that will put you in a better mood—somedays you need Lizzo, and some days you need something a little more chill. But listening to music that you like can help you wake up and feel more ready for your workout.
5. JUST DO IT. I’m sure google has a million more tips on getting out of bed early in the AM, but sometimes you just gotta do it. Even with the excuses and grumpiness. And even if you start your workout feeling grumpy, you’ll most likely be feeling more energized, happier, and accomplished by the end.

❗️YOU NEED TO READ THIS👇🏻❗️
What is your dream? Do you dream of running a marathon someday? Writing a book? Building a business so you have the freedom to work from home, or while traveling? What sets your soul on fire? Write it down right now. Seriously...I’m waiting.
Next question: Have you given up on that dream? Have you been consumed by all the doubts, fears, and obstacles that are standing in your way to reach that dream? I’m talking the “I’m not good enough’s” the “It’s taking too long’s” and all the rejections that are making it “too hard.” Have you given yourself permission to quit that dream?
Every now and then, I get so consumed by all the negativity surrounding my goals. It does its absolute best to drag me down with it, and in the past, it’s succeeded. But not now. Not this time. And I’m not going to let it happen to you either.
“You have to find the will to keep going, because if you don’t, I promise you that someone else will. And you will get to watch them cross your finish line and enjoy the spoils of the dream you had, and you will get to learn one of the worst, hardest lessons in this life: the only thing worse than giving up...is wishing that you hadn’t.” ~Rachel Hollis.
This is YOUR time. You don’t get to quit on yourself. Not now, not ever. If you woke up a year from now finally at your goal weight, or finally feeling good about food, or finally being EXCITED for something again in your life, wouldn’t all the work it took you to get there be WORTH IT? You gotta take the leap. You gotta start. You gotta keep going.
P.S. DO NOT give yourself permission to wait anymore. DO NOT give yourself permission to put yourself LAST after everything and everyone else in your life. If this resonates with you, DO NOT silence that voice in your heart—listen to it. My team is ready for you. I’m ready for you. I’m only a DM away💕

Last year➡️Now for
“We must walk through the periods of exile and depression with faith and hope, not with despair.”
When I heard Bishop Terry say this over the weekend, I was fighting back tears. If you know me IRL or if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that last year was really rough for me. This is why I felt so compelled to share this thought with you—but that’s not what I want to focus on in this post.
What if, instead of doubting EVERY decision you make regarding nutrition, you learned how to trust your decisions?
What if you learned to trust the promises you make to yourself that you’re going to get a workout in before you start your day?
What if you learned to be hopeful of all the progress that is waiting for you?
What if, instead of seeing the fear and hard work associated with this lifestyle change, you chose to focus on trusting the process, trusting yourself, and being hopeful of the things that are to come in your journey?
Anything that’s not love, hope, or trust is a LIE, so don’t pay any attention to it. Be so focused on love that nothing can get in the way❤️

What kind of progress have you made since yesterday? Last week? Last month?
If we allow ourselves to see it, we’re all making progress in some way, even if it’s small. But progress is still progress! And you are allowed to celebrate even the small things. 💕

I did something that I have NEVER done before...and here’s what I learned.
On Friday, I tried something completely new to me: I did a pacing workout. Like, with running. Like, the kind that track runners (aka not me) do!! 😂😅I did 400s the entire time, which meant that instead of doing the full planned workout, I was just trying to find a consistent pace for myself two laps at a time. And it was HARD. But it was worth it.
I felt so amazed by what I experienced. Besides the fact that I pushed myself and experienced a new level of exhaustion🥵, I was comforted by how patient the coach was. He explained everything to me—why we needed to pace, what a good pace looked and felt like, and he jogged along side me more than once.
I mean, sure, everyone else at that workout was running laps around me, but I thought it was SO COOL that we were all there celebrating our strength and finding out what worked for us—or, what DIDN’T work for us 🤣 I didn’t compare myself to the girls that had clearly been runners for a while, nor did I compare myself to the guy that had to take a breather halfway through one set. I had no reason to!! We were all there doing our best, and that was AWESOME✨
Even when I was struggling to breathe and starting to get dizzy, I just felt so grateful that I found an online community that does the same thing. We recognize our different strengths and allow them to empower us. We all come from different levels of fitness, but we know the importance of focusing on getting 1% better everyday. We don’t COMPARE, we CELEBRATE. And that is so special to me and so heartwarming, and I’m so glad this community found me a little over 2 years ago❤️
If you’re looking for some of that celebration, the Healthy for the Holidays challenge starts TOMORROW, so let me know ASAP if you want to reserve your spot! 😍💌

Meal plan approved💥
Yes, I eat Oreos, ice cream, pizza, chicken wings, and donuts every now and then...and I STILL see results.
I knew that nutrition was going to be the hardest part of this journey for me, because I don’t live vegetables and I have a huge sweet tooth (anyone else!? 🙋🏼‍♀️) So I found a way to compromise. I learned how much food my body actually needs, and what each portion of each food group should look like. I learned how to CHOOSE my food options daily, and that choice has freed me from food guilt.
When we think of nutrition, we tend to think in black and white. There are “good” foods and “bad” foods. But the truth is, food is just FOOD. Nutrition comes in 57 shades of gray, and until you find what works for you—keep experimenting!
The babes in my Healthy for the Holidays challenge group (starting MONDAY!😍) are going to learn allll about nutrition and how to tackle it on their OWN terms, and I can’t wait to see them learn and grow together! 💕💕 If you want in, simply comment below or send me a DM and I’ll get you all the deets! 💌

HEALTHY FOR THE HOLIDAYS🎃🦃🎅🏼
I’ve created this with YOU in mind...
The girl that feels anxious about the holidays because you know you’re going to indulge more than you “should.”
The girl that’s plotting how she can position herself in the back row of the family photos to hide her body.
The girl that feels defeated about gaining the “holiday weight.”..I created this bootcamp for YOU! The truth is, you are worthy of feeling happy and healthy AND still indulge in holidays treats. You’re worthy of being front & center of those family pics because you ALREADY look amazing. You’re allowed to throw out your scale and not give a f**k what you weigh.
I remember how emotional I used to get around the holidays, sometimes to the point of tears. And I remember pledging every year that on January 1st, I would FINALLY take my health seriously. I would FINALLY learn how to feel good about my body, and FINALLY learn to change how I thought about food.
I wish I wouldn’t have put it off all those years. I wish I would have felt this way about my body and my nutrition YEARS ago.
The best thing you can do is the RIGHT thing—the thing that will finally work for you. The next best thing to do is SOMETHING—literally anything that will get you closer to your goals. And the WORST thing you can do is NOTHING.
Don’t let this be the year you do nothing...again.
Fill out the link for Self-Love & Sweat in my bio to get started, or send me a DM if you want to talk!! 💌💌 I’m always here for you babes! 💕

“Baby how you doin? Feelin GOOD AS HELL!”
I sat down to write this post, to try to put my emotions into words, and the words of our hero, Lizzo, popped into my head.
The past two weeks, I have felt so ridiculously grateful that I said yes to the opportunity to become a coach, and that I chose to reconnect with my purpose in this biz during the summer.
When I started out as a coach, I was looking for more accountability. I was the girl in the friend group that LOVED health and fitness (duh), and everyone wanted to be my workout buddy...but NO ONE wanted to wake up at 6:30 to get their workout done before classes.🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
I needed to find people that shared my determination and that shared my no-nonsense desire to improve...and I’d say I’ve f**kin FOUND IT.
I found the people who run with their dreams. Who chase their goals and get HYPED about progress, both big and small. I found the people that push me and show me how to be better, and call me out when I need it. They say you’re like the 5 people you spend the most time with, and if that’s true, I’m in good hands. ❤️ We’re constantly loving, improving, growing, and supporting each other, and being a part of that gives me all the good vibes, excitement, and confidence that you’ve been seeing in my stories lately. I’m leaning in to the love and I KNOW you can see the difference in me...I surely have!
P.S. If you’re reading this thinking “damn, I seriously need that energy in my life rn,” you’re right. You do! 😉 Send me a message and let’s get you in on this lifeee✨

Last night I committed to a HUGE goal for the month—but it’s not about ME...it’s about YOU! I’ve committed to helping more people get started on their health and fitness journeys THIS MONTH than EVER before😱😱😱

This goal excites the crap out of me, because I know I can help SO many people shed their excuses, show themselves what’s possible, and help them enter 2020 with healthier bodies and happier mindsets.🎉🎉

This is where you come in. If you’re facing the last less than 90 days of 2019 feeling defeated, putting your health on the back burner as we approach numerous holiday events, or starting to mull over your New Year’s Resolutions...

START NOW. STOP WAITING. The biggest disservice you can do is to wait until you “feel” ready. The timing will NEVER be perfect until you MAKE it the perfect time.

The healthy habits that you start building now will get you RESULTS now, and by 2020 you will be just THAT much stronger. You deserve to make yourself a priority now and every day, not just after the holidays...

Comment “No more excuses” below & tag your fit bestie so you can do this TOGETHER💪🏻

The more the merrier😉💕

07/10/2019

Lately, I have been asking myself “how would my friend treat me in this situation?” and then I base my next actions off of that answer. Here are a few of the ones I think about:
Show yourself A LOT of grace. You’re doing the best you can on any given day and in any given moment, and it’s okay that your best doesn’t always look the same.
Treat yourself. Spoil yourself with something little, like a coffee, new nail polish, or one of those muffins in the cafeteria you’ve been eyeing all week 👀
Hype yourself up. Think about how you feel when you’re around the people you care about the most. Lighter, happier, less worried, etc. THAT’S your authentic self, so take a moment to remember who that is.
Show yourself as much love as you can manage, and be a friend to yourself!! Always! Negative self-talk will get you exactly nowhere.

Easy af meal idea😍
As a college student, I am busy AF on the weekends trying to get all my errands& homework done while still allowing myself time to relax before the new week starts. That’s why meal planning efficiently is SO important. I need quick, easy things I can throw together so my time can be spent on other things rather than spending an entire Sunday cooking.
For this “recipe,” I cooked asparagus and kale on the stove and added it to some veggie pasta. Add a bit of pesto and voilà! A delicious, easy meal that only takes like 20 minutes to make!
Tip: if you’re making this for the week, use AT LEAST three bundles of asparagus! I had to buy more in the middle of the week and make another batch!
Let me know in the comments if you want to see more quick & easy recipes in the future! And be sure to SAVE (that lil banner at the bottom right of the photo!) this meal idea for later☺️

Shameless 👊🏻💪🏻
I had pizza for dinner last night, and I fully expected to wake up to the fluffy bloated tummy that’s been my friend for years...
Instead, I woke up feeling toned af and completely SHOCKED at how much progress I’ve made in these past 56 workouts. Those easy af superfood shakes I drink everyday aren’t just a way for me to add more veggies and fruit and protein to my diet (but those are massive perks!!) They also contain pre- and probiotics that help my body digest at maximum capacity, so I don’t have to worry about feeling icky and bloated after every big meal.
Where could YOUR progress be in 56 days if you started RIGHT NOW? (Psst...56 days from now is the end of November! We’re closing in on 2019—doesn’t 2020 deserve a healthier you?) DMs always open to chat ! 💌💌

Happy fall, y’all! 🍁🕷🎃🍂
If you checked my stories, you know that I shared a takeaway from my current personal development book (Unf*ck Yourself! Go check it out!)
If there’s one thing I’ve learned this past year in grad school, it’s that GROWTH does not happen without pain, effort, and difficulty. I also know that we as a society LOVE anything that’s quick and requires little effort. BUT...I’m lucky.
My team is made up of warriors. We’re not afraid to get sweaty. We’re not afraid to confront our excuses EVERY SINGLE DAY (yeah...we have em too!!) and push ahead anyways. We understand that being uncomfortable is the only way to get from point A to point B. Showing up messily and imperfectly is still better than not showing up. The hardest workouts are the most important ones.
Did you know that in order for your muscles to grow, they literally have to TEAR, and then your body REBUILDS? That’s badass af. So why are we so afraid of effort? Why are YOU so afraid of effort? If your MUSCLES have to tear & rebuild, your MIND has to do the exact same thing. Tear up your excuses. Tear up your fear. Tear up your inner mean girl that’s telling you you CAN’T and show the whole motherfu***ng world that you CAN.
Effort, pain, and difficulty are ALWAYS worth it if the result is a stronger, happier, healthier, more confident, more badass YOU. You are ALWAYS worth your own best effort.

One thing you need to notice about this affirmation👇🏻👇🏻
It does not say “I am AS talented and intelligent as ________.”
It does not say “I am LESS talented and intelligent as _________.”
It also does not say “I am MORE talented and intelligent as ________.”
You are talented and intelligent. That’s it. End of story. Make a conscious effort this week to notice when you start to compare yourself to others. Stop yourself and repeat this mantra instead.
A friend had some very wise words yesterday, and I think they need to be shared with more people...bare with me though, because it’s pretty goofy. “A human can’t out-broccoli a broccoli, because broccoli is DESIGNED to be broccoli.” To translate: no one can out-do your ability to BE YOURSELF...so just focus on your talented and intelligent self.💕

10-SECOND TRANSFORMATION 👊🏻✨
“Perfection not required.”👈🏻 This is a thought I shared a few days ago, but I think it deserves its own recognition.
When we’re starting new things, what’s the first thing we think to ourselves? If you’re anything like me, it’s “I don’t want to mess this up!” Well, by the power vested in me by the Universe herself, I hereby delete that thought from your mind!🙅🏼‍♀️
Did it work? Hmm, maybe not immediately. But seriously, being afraid to mess something up on your first time is the easiest way to mess things up💣 If you’re like 20-year-old me, you get so stressed out about being perfect and sharing a certain image of yourself to the world, that you don’t actually ENJOY what you’re doing. Anyone else? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Don’t be shy.
Well, I’m here to passionately yell through the phone to STOP TRYING TO BE PERFECT!!! Show me your struggles! Show me the fact that you ate fast food for the fourth time this week, but that you’re STILL going to show up and meal prep this weekend and try again! Show me the most challenging workout days and how you got so emotional at the end of it because you literally felt like you were dragging yourself through it! Show me the insecurities, so we can accept them and fight back together! Show me the icky mental health days, and how you’re going to get through it! Show me the mistakes, the slip-ups, and the less-than-perfect moments and DO IT ANYWAYS!!
We are given this one life and this one chance to make something of ourselves, so stop being ashamed of your weaknesses and show they world that, actually, they are your STRENGTHS. ❤️
If this helped you, SAVE & SHARE and help me spread this message of self-love to EVERYONE✨
As always, my DMs are open to the babes that are ready to embrace the struggle and fight for their strength with me💪🏻 (or check my bio for more info💕)

Making healthy food doesn’t have to be hard!
I really enjoyed this tofu Pad Thai I made yesterday for lunch!! I was going to make it from scratch, but then I found a box kit with the noodles and sauce, and decided just to use that. 😂
I think next time I definitely need to add bean sprouts and some cilantro for more greens, but this was pretty healthy even without! Noodles, egg, tofu, and green onions...not too bad!

24/09/2019

Something my mentor said two weeks ago finally clicked last night...
She said, “what if you take all of your excuses as to WHY you can’t do this thing (fitness routine, building a biz, following a nutrition guide) and turn them into WHY you need to?”
Let’s flip some of these narratives👇🏻
“I’m not consistent with being active.”➡️”This can teach me how to be a little more consistent everyday.”
“I’m not good at it.”➡️”I can and will get better.”
“I’m horrible at eating healthy.”➡️”I have so much to learn, this will be an adventure!”
“I don’t have anyone there to support me.”➡️”I am the sole person responsible for my success.”
“I don’t know where or how to start.”➡️”I can start here and see where it leads.”
You know the most important thing that’s NOT required in this transformation? Perfection. Taking messy action after deciding you’re worth more than where you are right now is THE most important thing you can do for yourself. Because you WILL figure it out. Through the confusion, frustration, and struggle, you WILL get better.
Do the scary things NOW and GROW or stay exactly where you are. Those are the options.
I have 3 spots left on my team for the gals wanting to do the scary things and be braver than their excuses. Sneak peek videos into what I do as a self-care coach will be coming down TOMORROW, so contact me ASAP for more info💌
