On one of Gayatri’s trips to India, she and one of our board members Sujata Dayal, had a delightful experience visiting one of our partners, The Milaan Foundation Swarachna School. Located in the rural village of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, the accredited K-12 school offers a full-time education for young girls, including free meals, access to menstrual products, and a nurturing environment that prioritizes their holistic development 📚

They had the joy of connecting with all of their enthusiastic students, with an atmosphere full of positivity as the children eagerly shared English rhymes and songs.

The discussions with the students went beyond academics, focusing on health education and addressing the girls’ questions, reinforcing the message that they are capable of being strong young women who can achieve whatever they set their minds to ❤️‍🔥

The open conversations during our interaction brought comfort to the students, as they realized that women from all walks of life share the same physical changes, dispelling fear and limitation.

As Gayatri and Sujata left the school, they carried with them the smiles and enthusiasm of the students, a testament to the transformative journey they are undertaking 🫶🏼
