This past Tuesday, our founder attended the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning Gala with April Donnellan, the director of Simmons and two other members, celebrating CMAP’s 20th anniversary and the launch of The Century Plan, a vision for northeastern Illinois for 2060 and beyond.

The evening brought together hundreds of attendees and featured incredible performances highlighting the talent, art, and culture that make our region so special.

At The Soondra Foundation, we believe that no child should have to face lifelong consequences because of a medical emergency their family can’t afford 🌟

Rohan’s story shows how even a small grant can make a world of difference. Just $125—a fraction of what many might consider significant—covered his medical care, ensured his fractured finger healed properly, and allowed him to return to school and the soccer field he loves. This kind of timely support doesn’t just treat an injury—it restores hope, protects futures, and keeps children like Rohan moving forward.
