✨I’m thankful to say I have several? But should I test it out to make sure they are still on the list in 2024? 😂

Meet Me

Hi! My health conscious journey began in high school. So unlike most teens, for my graduation present I requested a Solo Flex. Yes not a car, but an exercise machine! So began my lifestyle of health.

Why did I become a vegetarian at 19? As a young child I suffered with leaky gut syndrome or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) as well as debilitating migraines. I suffered through exams such as colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopes, small bowel series & upper GI exams for all of my childhood. By the age of 14 I decided to change what I was eating despite not having wise food choices available or given to me for various reasons out of my control. I wasn’t able to avoid many things and saw how sick I would get because I had to eat what was given me as well as what my friends ate. Most of the time I would eat before I left home or not eat so I would not get sick. No fun for a kid right!

By my 30’s I had tried everything and the migraines were getting the best of me. I began to lose sight in my right eye and had begun taking Excedrin Migraine and a Goodies Powder daily just to make it through work. I was done and a friend suggested I become a vegan. I had no faith that I could do that. Well, I was desperate and after two weeks of strict and cold turkey vegan lifestyles I was migraine free for the first time ever in my life! I knew then food worked!

To be honest as a small child I never had gut issues until I began attending elementary school being exposed to processed foods with little to no nutritional value. At home with grandma she made sure that I ate fresh and home cooked nutritious meals and of course no sugar. I decided to go back to the “Good Ole Days!”
