GENERAL INFO
Three items from the Metabolic Studio:
#1. ‘‘Many of you have received embroidery kits from us of native plants, birds, and microscopic organisms that Metabolic Studio is currently cultivating on its project sites. Taken as a collection, all of the embroideries will collectively illustrate ‘Biogeocoenosis’ which describes the intimate association (coenosis) between living things (bio) and the physical environment (geo). This year, on October 23, we will be featuring all completed embroideries in the USC Archives Bazaar L.A. as Subject. If you haven’t returned your embroidery yet, there is still time! We would love to include as many as possible. All embroideries need to be returned in the self-addressed and stamped envelope provided to the Metabolic Studio by October 21 to be included.’’
#2. “Our next "Learning and Mending" series will begin Thursday, October 14. We will look at our Commons.’’ Watch for updates at www.eventbrite.com/o/metabolic-studio-30121249062.
#3. “In the meantime, on weekdays after 8:00AM or so, you can watch livecam coverage of what is happening on ‘‘The Moon,’’ part of the Metabolic Studio’s “Bending the River Back Into the City’’ project (www.metabolicstudio.org/bending-the-river).
