Recently, I tried a fitness class called Pound. Unlike my usual approach, I didn’t research it beforehand. It turns out to be a high-intensity cardio workout that uses drumsticks. Although it seems to have been around for years, it only recently came to my attention. As soon as the class started, I realized within five minutes that it wasn’t my style, and I kept glancing at the clock, counting down the minutes until the 30-minute class ended.
After the session, I encountered the instructor in the ladies' locker room, and she asked how I liked it, knowing it was my first time. I honestly told her that I wasn’t sure if it was for me. She encouraged me to try it two or three more times, suggesting it takes a while to get the hang of it. I agreed, but in my head, I thought, "I don’t need to try it multiple times to know my feelings about it." It’s akin to having a disappointing intimate experience and deciding to repeat it a few more times just to confirm you didn’t enjoy it. At 65, I typically know what I like or dislike almost instantly. It's a no for me, Dawg. 🤷🏾♀️😂🤣
