Distraction action? 🧠💨

Lately, I’ve been pulled in a million different directions—research rabbit holes, scattered ideas, and a general sense of “what am I even doing?”

But when I pause and breathe (literally), I remember a truth I come back to again and again:

“What if where we experience resistance is the thing that'll make the biggest difference?”

For me, resistance often shows up when the next step feels scary or important. It’s a nervous system response––not laziness or lack of motivation.

That’s why I turn to breathwork. It’s my go-to practice for calming my system and reconnecting with what actually matters.

What if you already knew your success was inevitable?

✨ That your dream home, your novel, your career pivot, or business growth was already unfolding perfectly––and all you had to do was take the next right step?

This question has been sitting with me all week.

In a convo with my coach Tara-Nicholle Kirke, she said something that stopped me in my tracks:

"Dispersion is like the grown up version of procrastination." 🤯

Whew. That called me out in the best way.

Before streamlining my business in December, I was acting on so many shiny ideas that none of them had time to truly grow. It felt like momentum, but really? It was delay.

Now? I focus on just one aligned step at a time. I write the other ideas down, but I don’t chase them all.

big dreams or baby steps? ⚖️

Ever heard that saying, “If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough?”

Spoiler: I’m not a fan. 😅

That advice implies if you’re not scared, you’re not dreaming right––and it feeds hustle culture’s myth that adrenaline is required to get anything done.

But adrenaline-fueled goals tend to backfire... fast. They might help you move quickly at first, but they often lead straight to burnout 😩.

These days, I’d rather surrender my ego’s timeline than ditch my wellbeing. 🙌

Sure, your dream might feel scary––but that’s usually your nervous system reacting to the unfamiliar, not actual danger.

current side quest 🕵️‍♀️🦶

I’m literally learning how to walk again.

This month’s side quest? Realigning my whole body—starting with my toes. 😳👣

I’ve been working with a structural integration specialist to release old fascia tension (plus rocking some very chic silicone toe spacers 😅) to correct a pattern I didn’t even know was happening.

Turns out one of my hips has been rotated for years (shoutout to my old Muay Thai era 👊🏽), and my body just adjusted around it. It felt normal… until it didn’t.
That’s how patterns work, right? They become so familiar, we forget they’re optional.

It reminded me of a client who said yes to every single meeting thinking that’s what a “good team player” does. But all it did was burn her out and keep her from hitting the actual goals her company cared about. 🤯

So now I’m asking:
What old pattern are you ready to release?

When he turned off the headlamp, I couldn’t even see my hand in front of my face. All

I had to ground me was the feel of water and sandy rock. I breathed in the velvety quiet.

A few days ago, I swam (and crawled 😅) through one of the cenotes in Mexico. Our guide Manny told us the story of diver Robbie Schmittner—who knew that two massive cave systems in Tulum must be connected.

Like so many of us with secret dreams—shifting careers, launching a side hustle, finally starting that project—he trusted the pull.

In 2018, he brought in a team and dove from both ends. Eventually, their lights met in the dark.

But the path was too narrow.

So Schmittner passed off his oxygen tank and carved through with a hammer—holding his breath.

He made it. But only because he had support.

The same goes for us. Secret dreams need teammates, tools, and trust.

That’s why I built The Compass Club—a space for your dream to breathe, grow, and come to life with clarity and support.

"I feel like I'm falling behind..."

I hear this all the time—especially in late spring.

But here's the truth: this is an old story, and it only exists when we fall into the comparison trap. 😵‍💫

Let’s bust that myth with 4 key questions:
1️⃣ What does “falling behind” actually look like or mean?
2️⃣ In relation to what or whom are you “behind”?
3️⃣ When did you decide you were falling behind—and why?
4️⃣ Why does it matter? What’s the real impact?

Now, take a breath.

What if we gave ourselves permission to be where we are with compassion—not judgment?

💡From a nervous system perspective, we’d feel more relaxed… and as a result, probably get more done and do it better.

As someone said after attending my recent workshop “5 Steps to Overcome To-Do List Overwhelm”:
“I left feeling like I could finally breathe again—like I don’t have to prove my productivity to be worthy.”

✨ Friendly reminder: You're not a robot. Your worth isn’t tied to how fast you move or how much you get done.

Over the years, I’ve joined so many courses + memberships and left them early. Not because the content was bad—but because I:

My secret dream came true 😍

In 2017, I was leading a women’s book club at my EdTech job. The prompt? Write down a secret dream and share it.

I wrote two… but only shared one:
✔ Publish a novel
❌ Become a yoga teacher

That second one felt too off-brand to say out loud—I was more likely dripping sweat in a HIIT class than sitting criss-cross on a yoga mat.

But that night, I got an email from a studio: enrollment for teacher training was open.

And just like that, I knew I had to say yes.

6 months later, I taught my first paid class… to coworkers during lunch. That whisper led to starting my business 💫

Recently, a former VP told me that watching me teach back then inspired her to follow a dream too—she just launched her career coaching biz this year 😭
