As we acknowledge the first year of losing our 'Special K' it's been a tough and challenging time.
We still wait for closure from the coroner.
A year that has been a rollercoaster of emotions from Sam & Kate's wedding, selling the family home in NZ and finally settling into a new life here in Perth. Adapting to a different kind of life without Kirsten.
Nick and I have bought Kirsten & Jake's house and taken on Luca the dog.
Sam, Kate & Lewis now live nearby which is great that we are altogether.
Yet throughout all the craziness life throws at us has brought us closer together as a family as we continue to support each other through our grief and acceptance as we move forward with our own life journeys.
We laugh and cry as we share memories off happier times and sing a long to her songs when hearing them.
We wouldn't be able to cope as well if it wasn't for the love, support & messages of encouragement and love from family and friends.
It has helped us to cope during our dark days for which we'll be forever grateful.
And so we raise our glass in love and rememberance to a very loved and missed Kirsten 🥂🌻💜xx
