Did you know that PEMF (Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field treatment) can make NAD+ work better? Studies on skeletal muscle tissue recovery show that PEMF increases NAD+ signaling and ATP production at a molecular level. One study notes that PEMF increases the amount of an enzyme that assists cells in using NAD+, thereby increasing mitochondrial healing and function. Although most studies specifically in this area seem to be related to musculoskeletal injuries, it can theorized that PEMF may well help NAD+ improve other conditions as well, such as arthritis, vascular disease, cognitive issues, etc. With this in mind, if you receive NAD+ infusions with us please ask our staff to use our PEMF mats - free of charge!

Education Corner

A recent small study showed clinical cognition improvement in participants with Alzheimer’s while taking creatine. The study was of 19 participants with “clinical diagnosis of dementia related to probably Alzheimer’s Disease.” Participants took daily creatine supplements for eight weeks, and compliance was measured by blood creatine levels at 4 & 8 weeks into the study. Although a small set of data, results were promising and showed improvements in tests that examine memory, executive function, and oral reading memory.
