Takeaways, lessons, & random notes from our first trip with a toddler 🗒️

Moms, what is something you learned or realized after you travelled with your toddler for the first time? We’ve flown several times when Brooks was a baby & wasn’t moving all around so this trip was a whole new experience!! I wouldn’t change it for a thing but it was a lot 🫠 Who can relate to this?! & then share something that makes traveling easier for you. Like something random you figured out or a specific hack that makes things a little smoother when traveling with kids. Help your girl (& the rest of the moms) out in the comments👇🏼

Today & every day 👏🏼

“Feeling like it” all the time is unrealistic.

Understanding this and getting in the habit of showing up with flexibility is key.

I don’t force myself to do anything but I also don’t let my mood stop me from doing SOMETHING.

This is why I have a “toolkit” and “menu” of habits. Nothing is set in stone, I tune into what I need and go from there.

This makes it a whole lot easier & MUCH more enjoyable.

Something to think about: do you have a flexible or fixed mindset when it comes to your habits? If you answered “fixed”, think about some small ways you can approach your daily routine with a bit more flow.✨

For the multi-passionate moms ❤️‍🔥

You know that feeling when you’re trying to fit all your interests into one neat little box labeled ‘purpose’? Yeah, it doesn’t work. Trust me, I’ve tried.

Here’s the thing: We’re not one-dimensional beings. We have different sides & interests, and they’re all equally valid and worth exploring.

As someone who has always pursued my many passions full force, becoming a mom rocked me because I thought I had to put all my other passions on the back burner. Like, way back. I was all in on motherhood (which is amazing, don’t get me wrong), but I started feeling... off. Incomplete. Like I was only showing up as a fraction of myself.

It wasn’t until I started carving out tiny pockets of time for my other interests that I felt that spark again✨

And guess what? It made me a better mom too. More present, more patient, more fun! Who knew?

So here are some truth bomb:
Your passions aren’t distractions from motherhood – they’re fuel 🚀
Making time for what lights you up isn’t selfish – it’s necessary to thrive > survive 🫠
You’re not just ‘Mom’ – you’re a whole ass complex human with multiple facets 💎

Here’s the reframe: It’s not about ‘taking time away from mom-ing.’ It’s about renewing your spirit TO mom! When you give energy to all parts of yourself, you show up fuller, happier, and more present for your kids.

My challenge to you: Embrace ALL your passions. Your love for fitness AND your obsession with true crime podcasts. Your knack for spreadsheets AND your talent for shaking that 🍑. It all counts. It all matters!!

After reading this, share w/ me: What passion are you going to make time for this week? Tell me below so I can hype you up!

Ready to make the most of your week?

Here are 3 ways to set yourself up for success:

1. Choose 1-2 small habits to focus on: Pick one or two general habits like mindfulness or movement and let yourself be flexible. Each day, decide what feels good to you— maybe it’s a morning walk one day and a quick meditation the next. The goal is to show up for yourself in a way that feels good & works for you that day, avoiding the trap of perfectionism and burnout.

2. Prime your environment for success: Create an environment that supports your goals. Stock your fridge with healthy foods, schedule your workouts for the week, set out your supplements where you can see them, get to sleep a little earlier, etc. A supportive environment makes it easier to stick to your habits and maintain your momentum.

3. Sunday night visualization: Take a few minutes before bed tonight to visualize your week. Focus on what you want to experience and how you want to feel. See yourself handling challenges like your best self and moving through your week with ease. This positive mental rehearsal sets a powerful tone for the days ahead!

Set your intentions.
Prime your environment.
Visualize your success.

YOU GOT THIS BOO 👏🏽

📌 The best habits for moms:

Simply put…the ones that work for YOU.

The “ideal mom routine” is a myth & the best habits are the ones energize you, align with your unique life, and bring joy — not drain you or add stress.

Self-care might be a quiet coffee or a family dance party. Your values could prioritize home-cooked meals or time-saving convenience.

The goal? Tune into what truly serves your family. Ditch the guilt over not following someone else’s “perfect” routine and lean in to what works for you, in this season of life.

Remember: You’re not just going through motions. You’re consciously crafting a life that feels good to live. & don’t forget you’re leading by example bc they’re always watching, mama 👀
