Happy World Sleep Day! Did you know puppies actually start off their lives sleeping 90% of the time? That’s almost 22 hours each day 💤

Today is University Mental Health Day, it’s the perfect reminder that taking a break isn’t just nice, it’s necessary. Chapter London students did just that with puppy therapy, spending time with adorable pups to de-stress, recharge, and lift their mood.

Studies show interacting with animals can reduce stress, lower anxiety, and boost wellbeing, making puppy therapy the perfect way to step away from deadlines and practice a little self care.

WE'RE HIRING 🐶🎉

We’re looking for Flexible Event Team Members in Manchester to join the Paws in Work team!

As a Flexible Event Team Member, you will support the business across multiple aspects of our events. You’ll play an active role in hosting, while also working behind the scenes to ensure the team has everything it needs to deliver unforgettable experiences for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

🐾 Working across multiple locations in Manchester. Please note that event shifts are scheduled on weekdays only

🐾 Hosting our events - conducting safety briefings, entertaining clients and maintaining puppy welfare is our number one priority at all times

🐾 Observing the puppies’ behaviour, and reporting any concerns of abnormal behaviour from the puppies to a senior member of staff. Prior experience with dogs is beneficial but not required

🐾 Replenishment of set up before and after each session

🐾 Setting up and packing down our equipment

The fun and positivity of a Paws in Work Puppy Therapy session goes far beyond just making our attendees happy, it actually provides puppies with carefully planned, age-appropriate socialisation experiences that support healthy emotional and behavioural development 🐾❤️

During these sessions, pups learn how to interact with humans, play nicely with each other, and stay calm in new environments. These skills are crucial for helping them navigate the first of their ‘fear periods’ with confidence.

All of this means our puppies grow up happy, confident, and healthy, making it through their puppy ‘pawbation’ ready for their forever homes.

At every step, we ensure we work with reputable, ethical breeders who care as much about the puppies’ wellbeing as we do.
