Meet my newest assistant: a Hydrocollator!

While I have yet to name it, this Chattanooga hydrocollator heats bentonite or other natural occurring clay in a sealed heating pack that reaches 160. It provides a form of deep moist heat that helps relieve pain, muscle spasms, improve range of motion and increase circulation and blood to the area.

When using heating packs they are always wrapped in layers of towels to avoid burns, but are a great tool in any manual practitioners handbook! Have you ever had a heating pack used ? Thoughts?

I’ve always shared my thoughts on the importance of infant massage, this is just one of the many studies showing what an impact it makes to a babies well being and development. Other studies have suggested in premature babies 15-20 minutes Of massage has a significant impact on their HGH (human growth horrmone ) levels, meaning they grow faster!
