How to make (anti)tick tubes for your yard etc. Cotton + permethrin + pvc piping or similar tubing. Mice rub themselves w permethrin while snagging the cotton for their next, thereby
1)killing any ticks on themselves and
2)bringing back permethrin/laden nesting material.

It doesn’t harm the mice. 👍

(white-footed mice are the most common first blood meal for tick larvae->infectious nymphs).

Did you know that disease and other tick-borne infections can be spread from mother to child during ?

Pathogens that cause , and have been found in newborn infants, placentae, fetuses or umbilical cords, as described in the resources cited below. As a sign of progress, the CDC finally updated their website in three different spots to address the very important issue of maternal-fetal transmission of Lyme disease, although they still claim it is "rare." Of course, you will not find what you are not looking for.

Congenital transmission is yet another reason why children are at the greatest risk of contracting Lyme disease. Children born with Lyme disease can present with a variety of neurological or physical impairments. To help prevent congenital transmission, we recommend for women of childbearing age who have been diagnosed with MS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune conditions, unexplained inflammation, unexplained immune deficiencies, psychiatric conditions such as depression or anxiety, joint pain or muscle pain to carefully consider Lyme disease as part of the differential diagnosis, preferably under the guidance of a knowledgeable provider using more reliable tests, and treatments found to be more effective for late stage Lyme.
