Le weekend ✌🏻a trip to Devon before heading into my birthday week. It’s 4-0 for me on Wednesday.

Tomorrow I’m teaching some standing moves to do while at work. Rather excited about this and delighted they’ve invited back (we moved together last year too!)

2024 let’s do this ✌🏻💪🏻👍🏻🙌🏻 HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Hoping your Jan 1st has started well. Being a Jan babe I bloody love Jan. Being a Capricorn, I love to talk about Jan and how much I love it (and how much I love other caps too). So we’ve wrapped up warm and taken our getting over covid peaches to the sea - always worth the hour’s drive to get here!

Back to work tomorrow! See you on screen at 7pm tomorrow evening for foam roller MAYD members. Stretching into 24 with a good dollop of strength too.

Vision for 2024. Thanks ✌🏻 short and 💪🏻 meetings. But in all seriousness, my vision for 2024 is more movement at our desks (ha, no surprise there).

2023 has been a good year for PAYD as we’ve moved with desk-workers around the globe and helped so many bodies with desk-related aches and pains.

2024 let’s spread this desk movement malarkey further.

Learn the moves so that all the body parts get a look in. Figure out how to make sure we do it. Hone in on how good it feels so we will do more. Create new movement habits that are easy to do but effective at keeping our bodies happy and healthy.

Happy New Year everyone and I can’t wait to move with you in 2024! ❤️

MOVE AT YOUR DESK this !

Movement is great for our minds and bodies yet so many of us will stay relatively still for 8-10 hours a day while working at our desks.

That’s a HUGE chunk of time to be missing out on the benefits of movement each day.

I wrote this and published it.

It’s a good book for people who work at desks and would like to learn how to move more, and tips on how to remember to move more. I’m told it’s very useful. People seem to like it. called it “an insightful guide to help you concentrate, feel and work better.” I like that.

I saw it for sale in an actual shop a couple of weeks ago (mostly it’s just been through Amazon I think - I would like it to be sold in book shops as I love book shops but it’s difficult to know how to make that bit happen).

It’s also been published in Czech this year - that’s also good.

My favourite thing about this book is that my dear friend used it to move when she couldn’t get up to move very easily because she was very sick. It’s nice to know that this book helped her to feel a little better.

So yes, this is my book and if you have friends/family who work at desks or who would benefit from seated movements then it would make a great gift 🎁 it’s linked on my bio at the top of this page.

I mean, who doesn’t wear giant veg as headphones?!

And a few other photos/outfit showing off from this last week.

Deleting the Instagram app meant that I ended up navigating the world of a bit more than usual.

I wrote a few movement-related articles which I’ve been sharing over there. Including my response to a recent study which found walking 22 mins each day is enough to offset the harmful impact of sitting too much (I don’t completely agree as it doesn’t take into account stuff likeMSK issues, mood etc etc. clue: 22 mins isn’t enough if you’re sitting STILL for the rest of the day. Embrace PAYD etc etc)

I also spent the whole of yesterday writing something called, “what does an economist and a movement teacher have in common?” It’s on my blog if you want to read it. I’m still not entirely happy with it but might share it more broadly next week.
