🥥 Coconut Lime Quinoa 🥥

* 1 cup dry Quinoa
* 1 can Coconut Milk
* 1/2 cup Water
* 1/2 tsp. Salt
* 1 Lime

Directions
1. Add Quinoa, coconut milk, water, and salt to pressure cooker. Stir/mix ingredients together.
2. Cook on “high pressure” for 2 minutes. Then let it “naturally release” for 10 minutes.
3. Open pressure cooker and stir quinoa for 15-30 seconds.
4. Zest Lime over Quinoa. Then squeeze Lime juice over Quinoa. Stir together.
5. Enjoy.

🥚 Loaded Egg Bites 🥚

Makes 15 egg bites (varies with size of baking sheet)

* 9 whole eggs OR you can use egg whites
* 8oz lean ground turkey
* 1/4 cup chopped yellow and red peppers
* 1/4 chopped broccoli
* 1/2 spinach
* 1/8 cup chopped onion
* 1/4 cup cheese (low fat)
* 1 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
* Sprinkle of H**p seeds
* Dash of garlic powder
* Dash of chili powder
* Dash of everything but the bagel seasoning

Directions
1. Chop up the vegetables you want to use. Can use different vegetables or a variety of amounts. Peppers and onions are good flavor!

2. Put chopped veggies in mixing bowl.

3. Add Eggs and stir/mix together.

4. Add cheese, cottage cheese, and the spices you want to use for flavor. Stir/mix together.

5. Ground turkey in pan until brown. Dab off excess grease. Add turkey to mixing bowl with eggs and veggies. Stir/mix together.

6. Spray baking sheet with non stick spray.

7. Evenly distribute egg mix into baking sheet.

8. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

9. Once preheated, add in the egg bites for 25 minutes. Check on them and cook for an additional 5 minutes if not lightly browned on edges.

10. Let sit for 10-20 minutes before enjoying.

My first is going to be an Olympic distance

6.2 mile run 🏃🏻‍♂️

Been training for about 8 weeks. Working on my cardio endurance to be able to push myself through what could take me 3 hours to complete.

I honestly don’t have a goal to complete the triathlon in a certain amount of time.

I’m sure whatever time I get, it’ll be the baseline measurement for future events.

My Wife made this Banana and Blueberry Protein Bread Recipe the other day. They were amazing 🤤

Making these and having them instead of Little Debbie 👩🏻‍🍳 Snacks is a great way to start to increase your daily amount of protein!

What you need:

-2 Bananas
-1 cup of Blueberries
-1 Egg
-2 Scoops of Vanilla Casein Protein Powder (I use the Optimum Nutrition Brand)
-1 cup Almond Flour
-2 tbl Coconut Oil
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1 tsp cinnamon
-1 tsp baking powder
-1 tsp baking soda

Instructions:

•Preheat Oven to 350.
•Spray Pam on Bread Loaf Pan or Muffin Pan (if making individual muffins)
•In mixing bowl, mash Bananas and then add blueberries, egg, coconut oil, vanilla, cinnamon. Mix well.
•Add the remaining ingredients to mixing bowl (vanilla casein protein powder, almond flour, baking soda, and baking powder) Mix well.
•Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes until light golden appearance. If you are making muffins, scale down the time in the oven due to smaller sized muffins.

Do you consume enough protein? 🤔

If you are working out and trying to take care of your body, make sure you are getting enough protein throughout the day. 🍖🍗🥩🥚🧀🥑🥦

Eating enough protein is super important to your body! Protein is the most basic building block of life and it is what makes up your DNA🔎🧬

👉🏻Everyone is different but a good recommended starting point is 0.8g of protein/kilogram you weigh.

👉🏻You can find your weight in kilograms by dividing your weight in pounds by 2.2(example: a 200lb individual weighs 91 kilograms and would need at LEAST 72 of protein each day)

👉🏻Learn to track your daily nutrition so you become aware of how many grams of protein you eat right now, are you close to a recommended amount?

To achieve the overall objective of being strong and healthy, the following types and minimal amounts of exercise are recommended:

1) Moderate to vigorous aerobic exercise for a total of 30 minutes at least three days a week

2) Eight to 10 different strength-building activities that work all the major muscle groups, two to three times a week

3) Stretching of the major muscle groups at least five minutes after each exercise session, when the body temperature and muscles are warm
