I've noticed so many of you navigating challenges lately, and I've been reflecting on how best I can be here for you.

A poll I came across revealed that many women are currently grappling with discerning their purpose at this phase of life.

Even those who have a clear vision often feel pulled down by obligations, leaving them drained and stretched thin.

Consequently, when they get a moment to themselves, their passion and enthusiasm wane.

So pleased to have been invited by Fitpro to present to their audience of Fitness Pro's and Personal Trainers. 😎

Gratitude for and for their excellent presentation on Sugar Addiction yesterday morning!

I really appreciated Dr. Bunmi’s humane, realistic approach to sugar addiction—which can create as strong a response in the brain as co***ne.

Working with sugar is no joke!

The presentation made me thoughtful about the difference between self care and self indulgence. Often, we allow ourselves to slide into the comfort of our habits when we’re under stress. And, truly, we need to give ourselves grace when this happens.

AND practice that we don’t allow “giving grace” to actually be “making an excuse.” Processed sugar is a dangerous pro-inflammatory substance. It creates an internal environment that is more prone to depression and anxiety and less resilient to stress response.

Given my own tendencies and the details of my own life, I feel deeply grateful for yesterday’s reminder. 🙏
