Get to know our coaches: Alexa Ballinger

Fitness isn’t just about the gym. It should be about adding that extra OOMF to the things you love to do (or strive to do) on a daily basis. Alexa uses a practical combination of mobility work, strength training, cardio, and nutrition to ensure you have the mental and physical energy to tackle your day. Whether you’re working from your desk, slugging city league softball, carrying kids to and from the car, or backpacking your favorite trail, she will set you up for success. We only get one life, so you might as well live it fully and fearlessly!

With a Master’s degree in Counseling earned in 2010, Nikki Lightner brings over 15 years experience as a licensed mental health therapist guiding individuals towards lasting personal growth. In 2017, she expanded her practice to include health and wellness coaching, blending her background in mental health therapy with practical strategies for sustainable lifestyle change. She specializes in helping clients improve their overall health through tailored nutrition guidance and specialized fitness programming. She holds a Level 1 Nutrition Coaching Certification through Precision Nutrition and integrates evidence-based practices to support long-term success. After having two children, Nikki discovered a passion for weight lifting through CrossFit - a journey that deeply influenced her approach to health and inspired her mission to empower others through strength training and mindful living. She understands the demands of balancing healthy living and staying in shape with motherhood and working full-time. Nikki and her husband, Kip, currently train in their home gym while keeping busy with their two children. You up can usually find her in sports and uber mom mode. Erikka is a Masters Level Licensed therapist and mother of three. She is a competitive bodybuilder in the bikini division and recently won PA state overall bikini championship. She found a passion for helping others achieve their goals in a career where her experience empowering others in the therapeutic space meets health and fitness. I want to shout out This woman is aging backwards. She’s leaner, stronger, healthier, and eating more than ever. Something I appreciate about her is her sweet spirit and positive attitude. She’s had a few injuries that would have made most people just give up, but her attitude is always, “Here’s what I can do.” It’s that attitude that yields results. Shes patient and consistent. She doesn’t look for immediate results. She understands delayed gratification and obviously it works.

Did you know you’re 100% in control of what you put in your mouth? This is both damning and liberating. It’s damning because if you don’t like the way you look, you only have yourself to blame. It’s liberating because you can make the choice today to change.

You have way more fat on you than you realize, and way less muscle than you think. I’m almost 270lb in the picture on the left. On the right is this morning after cardio and I’m 223.4 and I still have a solid 10lb or even a tad more to pull off before comp day. Now, this level of leanness isn’t sustainable long term, but the point is, you probably have a good amount of fat to lose.

When guys come to me and ask if they should bulk or cut, if they’re over 15% we are cutting. For ladies, if they’re over 24% we’re cutting. If you try to bulk from that high of body fat you’ll only accumulate more fat very easily and the runway for growth is small. It’s best to lean out first, make sure health is in order, then grow.
