Objective: To open ones own heart to know true thankfulness.
It’s the Season for Thanksgiving.
Problem: This season is full of distractions & can be exhausting and/emotionally draining or depressing.
Procedure: Focus on ONE person or thing. Maybe stay with whoever or whatever first pops into your mind or heart. For me just now: a blade of grass popped into my thoughts. Now go deeper by asking inside yourself and opening yourself for what there is truly to be thankful for about that person or thing.
Repeat. Maybe on the same day but maybe schedule this time as QuietTime to practice regularly. Going deeper takes time & practice. Allow yourself to go deeper with one thought.
Continue repeating these QuietTimes until you feel the open feelings of true thankfulness inside your heart. A secondary symptom of true thankfulness is that your head & your heart stop arguing with each other or are in agreement. It’s peaceful & calm.
