Delta Epsilon Mu was first established on the campus grounds of Binghamton University, State University of New York, in Spring 1996.

The creation of Delta Epsilon Mu as a Greek Organization was initiated with the goal to unite students interested in entering various pre-health professions, including but not limited to medicine, psychology, dentistry, nursing, physical therapy, nutrition, and many others. The Founders and forefathers of Delta Epsilon Mu united their interests in building a Professional Pre-Health Co-Ed Fraternit

y that could serve the Binghamton University students by exposing them to professionals from various health fields. Delta Epsilon Mu was formed for the benefit of its Members and all students within the campus. Collectively, these Members shared the Fraternity’s interest in serving the community by uniting people of different age groups to help each other and learn from one another. In Fall 1995, Marianna Strakhan and Teri Broklawski combined their efforts with Debbie Amster and Ellen Hoffman to begin the formation of a Pre-Health Fraternity. Broklawski then recruited Sherine Banton, Wendy Cooper, Keri Weintraub, and Wendy Goldstein to help solidify the foundations for the Fraternity. With solid plans in mind, the eight students met with the Student Association of Binghamton University in order to begin formal establishment. With one-hundred signatures of students who supported and requested affiliation with the Fraternity, the Student Association of Binghamton University approved the first Delta Epsilon Mu Constitution in January 1996. From this point forward, Delta Epsilon Mu began to pursue its goals of growth through advertisement of the newly formed Greek Organization to the entire Binghamton University campus. Eighty-six students joined formal Recruitment in February 1996, and of these individuals, thirty-six students of various pre-health interests were chosen to become the Founders of Delta Epsilon Mu. Our official Delta Epsilon Mu Founder’s Day is May 3, the date of the first ratification documents for the Fraternity at-large.

Join the Alpha Iota Chapter of the nation’s premier professional pre-health co-ed fraternity, Delta Epsilon Mu (DEM). We have over 80 active and alumni members pursuing a variety of healthcare fields, including medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, nursing, and public health. As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops, network with healthcare professionals, volunteer at local organizations, and form close bonds with your fellow members as you experience your pre-health journeys together!

We will be holding virtual information sessions on Wednesday, Aug 31st and Tuesday, Sept 6th from 6-7 pm. Please just attend one, we hope to see you all there!

Hi everyone! DEM is partnering with the other Michigan pre-health fraternities and the Michigan Ukrainian Club to raise money for medical relief in Ukraine. All proceeds will be donated to Razom for Ukraine’s Emergency Response Fund, which is a non-profit providing humanitarian aid, including tactical medicine and supplies, hospital supplies and equipment, and communication equipment. The fundraiser is this Friday the 8th from 11am-8pm at Joe’s Pizza in Ann Arbor. Please use this link below or the QR code to make a Joe’s Pizza account and place an order on the app! If you cannot attend the fundraiser, please consider donating directly to the organization. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated!

We are excited to announce that Blueprints For Pangaea was selected as the first place winner from 100+ entrants in the Zipcar Students With Drive competition, receiving features in Bloomberg, Barron's, and Yahoo Finance.
