We can't believe it! 2 days of fast and furious science, 42 outstanding, cutting edge presentations, a lot of networking with colleagues old and new. Frienships made, sleep lost...but it's a wrap. The American Cough Conference would like to thank our academic and industry faculty, oral abstract presenters, attendees, sponsors, supporters and exhibitors. Clairways Smart Lung pendant monitoring system is now being discussed by CEO Jeff Bernowski and CTO Justice Amoh. This device captures curently unavailable respiratory data that utilizes AI to preserve privacy by only recording relevant respiratory events and filtering out conversations and other sound events. The pendant supports 16 days of continuous remote use without having to recharge the battery or remove to upload data.

Dr. Michael Kitt of Axalbion discusses their investigational product for chronic cough - AX-8. Activation of TRPM8-expressing sensory fibres has been shown to decrease irritation, itch and neuropathic pain in animal models; Converging evidences suggest that topical TRPM8 agonists by acting on sensory fibres innervating the surface of the upper respiratory and digestive tracts (e.g. oropharyngeal mucosa) can treat RCC by counterbalancing cough hypersensitivity, decreasing /abolishing pathological coughing by normalizing the cough reflex and limiting /suppressing abnormal sensations.
