Covid-19 Update 24th June 2020
After the Government released their 'Close Contact Guidance' report on Tuesday 23rd June, it can be seen that reflexologists in England are not yet able to return to work and start treating their clients again. Other announcements are awaited for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, but, again, reflexologists in these areas are currently closed too.
Here at the AoR, we are now doing everything possible to get our members prepared for a safe return to work when their regional Government allows. This includes our COVID-19 Secure hygiene guidelines, risk assessments and other supporting documents. We are also continuing to work with our parliamentary groups to increase the recognition of reflexology as a complementary therapy which plays a key role in supporting wellbeing, and which is especially of value at this time.
Please be assured that our members will only return to reflexology once the Government has said it is safe to do so and when they personally feel it is right for them to open again. We will announce confirmed Government dates both here on our website and on our social media channels so please check regularly for further information. When you do return to reflexology, you can be assured that you will be in safe hands with a MAR therapist: a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
