Fission Media added syncing and variable pay periods to this app. You can now sync with your partner's iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch! And you can set your pay periods to 'fortnightly' as is common in the UK Australia and in government jobs.

The feature that always surprises people are the graphs in this app. They not only visually show you what you've spent, but also what you have left to spend in each category and whether you have exceeded the budget amount for each category. It's a really slick way to get an update on where you're at. My developers took the graph concept to a new plateau.

With running a business and figuring how to stay afloat in the app biz, there's not a lot of time to keep blogs, twits and posts up-to-date. People keep telling me it's important...so will do more in the months ahead.

Just when you think this app has run its course, it bounces back and takes a top position in finance in Canada again. It stays up there because it is so well designed and easy to use. Most personal finance apps are complex...and, like Mint, scarily invasive. When they start telling you about payments due, I get nervous. What else do they know?
