The Primal Nutritionist Primal Blueprint Certified Health Coach. Improving the health of clients using an evolutionary appr My name is Tom Shearer. Let me help you help yourself.

I have recently completed the Primal Blueprint Health Coach course, and achieved the certification required to take on clients. My decision to become a 'health coach' has been more than eight years in the making. In January of 2009 I was prescribed a chemotherapy medication called 'Isotretinoin' or 'Accutane', for a mild acne problem. This medication left me with debilitating long term side effect

s, ranging from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and IBS, to Anxiety and Depression. Upon returning to the medical professional who prescribed the medication to report my symptoms, my claims of 'drug damage' fell on deaf ears and, although several blood markers showed problems with vitamin D levels, thyroid hormones, etc, I wasn't given any meaningful explanations, and I was eventually forced to begin my own research. This pushed me down an awakening pathway, toward the Paleo/Primal approach to diet and lifestyle. I found that when I ditched modern processed foods, and began eating the way evolution intended, my health showed immeasurable improvements, and my body began to heal. The more I learned, the more I began to look beyond myself and see how this diet and lifestyle could benefit the health of everyone around me. I have been using this approach to work on my own health problem for over three years, and have spent the last six months working towards this qualification. The primal approach to diet and lifestyle has the potential to improve a wide variety of health problems. Make an appointment with me, and I will share all of my knowledge with you. Madness…

Some might tell you this is already happening…🤔

All you need to cool the planet: Boeing 777F and 12 million tons of sulfur dioxide every year.

It might seem surprising, but a new study from University College London shows that using existing large commercial jets, like the Boeing 777F, could make stratospheric aerosol injection possible.

Stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) is a technique where tiny particles, such as sulfur dioxide, are added to the upper atmosphere to reflect sunlight and cool the Earth. Traditionally, it was thought we’d need planes flying at altitudes of 12.4 miles (20 km) near the tropics to make this happen – requiring brand-new, high-flying aircraft.

But this new study, published in Earth’s Future, found that we might be able to cool the planet by injecting particles at just 8.1 miles (13 km), near the polar regions. And that’s an altitude commercial planes already reach.

The catch? Injecting aerosols lower means we’d need three times as much material to have the same cooling effect – raising concerns about increased side effects like acid rain. It would also be less effective at cooling the tropics, where warming hits hardest.

Researchers estimate it would take about 12 million tons of sulfur dioxide every year, strategically released near 60° latitude – roughly the same latitude as Oslo in the north or southern Patagonia in the south.

Still, the approach could shave off around 1.1°F (0.6°C) from global temperatures – similar to the cooling caused by the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991.

Particles released at 8.1 miles (13 km) would linger for only a few months, compared to several years if released higher. However, because the strategy uses existing aircraft (with modifications), it could be launched much sooner – without the billion-dollar costs and decade-long wait needed to design new planes.

One thing is clear: stratospheric aerosol injection is no silver bullet. It can’t replace cutting emissions, and it comes with serious risks. But understanding every option matters if we’re going to tackle climate change with eyes wide open.

A Bit About Me

In January of 2009 I was prescribed a chemotherapy medication called 'Isotretinoin' or 'Accutane', for a mild acne problem. This medication left me with debilitating long term side effects, ranging from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and IBS, to Anxiety and Depression. Upon returning to the medical professional who prescribed the medication to report my symptoms, my claims of 'drug damage' fell on deaf ears and, although several blood markers showed problems with vitamin D levels, thyroid hormones, etc, I wasn't given any meaningful explanations, and was eventually forced to begin my own research. This pushed me down an awakening pathway, towards the Paleo/Primal diet and lifestyle. When I ditched modern processed foods, and began eating the way evolution intended, my health showed immeasurable improvements, and my body began to heal. The more I learned, the more I could see how this diet and lifestyle could benefit everyone’s health. I have been using this approach to work on my own health problem for more than eight years, and after some encouragement from friends and family, I decided to study towards a Primal Health Coach diploma, which I completed in June of 2017. The paleo diet and lifestyle has the potential to improve a wide variety of health problems. Make an appointment with me, and I will share all of my knowledge with you. Let me help you help yourself.
