A 7 year journey with Pt Sanjay Rath PJC course (Vedic astrology) is at a completion and a beginning for me. My last and final assignment was writing a thesis on Linda Goodman’s life from beginning to end.

Dissecting birth charts with and without birth timing, looking at life events and matching it with planetary alignment, the character of a person’s incarnation in this lifetime, what their soul purpose. Understanding the nuances of one planet combined with all the other planets in a birth chart. Analyzing timing, life, death, child birth, marriage, divorce, past life talents and sins, career, in-laws, siblings, parents, infidelity, diseases, work, job changes, sudden ups and downs, mantras, and everything between. Life beautifully unfolds in a perfect manner with the timing system (dasha system) that is unique to one’s life. I’m so blessed to be part of a this ever lasting journey with my Jyotish community, and also to have this knowledge and perseverance to push through the whole program with my community of astrologers and my wonderful teachers.

As I sent my final paper into my Jyotish teacher, I went for an evening walk to see the holiday lights, and I saw this zodiac wheel looking at me. Messages are loud and clear if you connect with yourself and the universe around you. God bless and happy new year! 2024.

Mother nature and human nature are both fascinating. At times, our human minds usually ignore this natural connection. But Mother Nature gave us a warning signal on events to follow on December 14, 2020 with a total solar eclipse. Now, based on Vedic Astrology - eclipses are generally inauspicious, and that specific day, the solar eclipse was in Scorpio. So how does that affect us, individually? Well, based on Donald Trump’s natal chart, this solar eclipse was EXACTLY on his natal scorpion moon (moon represents the mind). A few weeks later, we saw the results of the eclipse to Donald Trump outwardly, especially on Wednesday, Jan 6, 2021. Well, all I can say is that maybe Bonnie Tyler knew about his! 😊

Astrology uses Astronomy. This month Saturn and Jupiter are in the same exact place/degree in the sky. Saturn is Disease and Death, and Jupiter is Life in Vedic Astrology. Unfortunately Saturn is winning this battle for this month. Everyone please be extra careful. These energies are far stronger than an individual. Irrational actions may face dire consequences.

The largest planets in our solar system will soon align for the great conjunction — the greatest skywatchers have observed since medieval times.

Hi All, since you know I’m fond of astrology, I recently learned through looking at the charts of Diwali, that it’s one of the most materialist day of the year. Sun is debilitated with Moon. And the moon is not bright, and it’s no moon today.

It’s more of a cultural material focused festival, but it’s NOT the most spiritual day (meditation) for Hindu worship.

Mars is retrograde for the last few weeks or more, so lots of tensions in general. When a planet is retrograde, it looks much closer to the earth. So if you look in the night sky, you can see the RED hot headed planet (mars) with the naked eye. Imagine how it affects us all!

Watch out for the next month until Jan, I do think the peak of the pandemic will be now and throughout December. Reason why is that Jupiter (planet of life, prosperity) is inching closer to Saturn (planet of Disease, suffering). Jupiter will be losing the battle with Saturn. So, the peak of this conjunction is now until Jan. It’s super amazing for me to practice astrology thru these events this year!

It’s very soulful to see so many people interested in learning this spiritual science!!!Please DM if you are interested in attending my winter bootcamp class, since the Fall class is SOLD OUT:

1st class:
We will review your birth charts, and go over your ascendant and 12 houses (meaning 12 areas of life). You will find out what are lucky areas, difficult areas that grow with time, and general themes of your chart.

2nd class:
We will review what each planet represents, and where they are located in your chart/what area it emphasizes. This will give a more detailed description of your charts. We will learn how to manage the difficult areas, and how to reap the rewards of the good karmas.

The Vedic astrology community have been discussing the date Feb 24-Feb 25 for months. This date had Mars-Ketu perfectly conjoined in the sky in a particular place (in a nakshatra) that is very unsettling. Mars is war, aggression, anger. Ketu is the tail of the dragon. When Mars + Ketu get together in the sky, it causes havoc, upheaval. What happened the end of Feb? The market suffered its worst week since the financial crash of 2008 due to the uncertainty of the corona-virus.

Around every 18.5 years, this Mars-Ketu conjunction happens. Last time was 9-11. The time before that, was 1982 - the beginning of the AIDS virus.

Vedic Astrology works, if you know how to use it. Unfortunately, the reputation of astrology is mixed due to astrologers that do not study the subject in great detail. It takes 3 lifetimes to study the art of this celestial science.

BIG question - did you guys notice any personal bad news during the end of Feb? Certain folks will experience bad news in some way.

Eclipses. Humans have been puzzled, bewildered and sometimes even terrified at the sight of this celestial phenomenon. In ancient China, India, and Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq), eclipses were regarded as omens or warnings in nature, for signs of things to come. And since I have been studying astrology/astronomy formally, I want data and research to prove it. From observing eclipse events, the intensity of events would show up within 2-3 weeks of the solar eclipse. So, for example, December 26, 2019 there was a full solar eclipse in Asia, Middle East, reaching as far as Australia. In this map, you will see the affected areas of the eclipse shadow on Dec 26, 2019. Now, what happened in that region during the 2 weeks after?

Australia (Jan 1, 2020) – Australia has been burning, and the intensity of the wildfires can be seen through satellite images in space
Iran (Jan 3, 2020) - Qassem Soleimani assassination with the country in unrest
India (Jan 5, 2020) - 2020 JNU Attack in New Delhi, and protests country-wide
Iraq (Jan 8, 2020) - Iran launches 22 ballistic missiles at two military bases in Iraq hosting US troops
India, Nepal, China, Pakistan, Japan, Indonesia (Dec 26 - Jan) – 50 earthquakes in that region over 4.0.

Call it coincidence, and some may argue that human events are not a source of one single event. But at the same time, a part of all us knows that we cannot explain everything. And even though we have science to prove causality, please don’t ignore Mother Nature’s signs from above.

Upcoming USA eclipses are: June 5-6, June 21, July 4-5, Nov 29-30, Dec 14. These days are know to be days for meditation, and spiritual progress, not for new celebrations or weddings in Vedic Astrology. The Vedic Studio

Happy New Year and Decade – 2020!! We mark the New Year’s through using the Gregorian calendar, as most countries use as their de facto calendar. However, in Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq), the concept of celebrating the New Year was the time of the vernal equinox, or mid-March. This is the day in which the day AND night are of equal length. But through history, and many wars, most countries have adopted January 1 as the calendar New Year. However, a more personal ‘New Year’ to one self is your annual birthday. Here, your annual birthday is your INDIVIDUAL New Year, with your own internal goals. Also, astrologically - the Sun and Moon are at the same position in the sky at the time you are born. With that information, you can cast a birth chart for your annual birthday and find out the “fruits” of that upcoming year. You can find out all sorts of events for that year – from relationships, family, money, luck, and obstacles. This is called Varshaphala and Tithi Pravesh in Sanskrit.

Now for some resolutions, if you still choose to make them on January 1. I love the Washington Post’s Perspective which states “I don’t need to create new goals for the New Year to better myself. Because next year I will know, experience, and find the lessons that matter all on my own.”

Everyone has a spiritual journey. It is constant, on-going, and everlasting. You can always tap into your own spiritual power to get perspective, strength, and power. My deepest gratitude is to one of my teacher and spiritual advisor, Pt Sanjay Rath, for giving his students the understanding of our intricate relationship with the planets, stars and the universe, through Vedic Astrology.

Going back to the topic of “stages of man” in my previous post, Vedic Astrology also gives us a DEEP DIVE into 9 stages of life, through the planets and nakshatras (lunar mansions):

The 9 Stages of “man” are:
1. Ketu (the dragon’s tail) – When a child is born, they cannot make any decisions for themselves and are completely dependent on caretakers, so Ketu symbolizes “headless.”
2. Venus – Teenage years. it symbolizes sexuality, hormone changes during the teens
3. Sun – this influence in your 20s. It drives one to develop his/her identity, and responsibility to fulfill one’s dharma (work).
4. Moon – The moon’s energy gives the desire to grow their network and family life.
5. Mars – Mars energy helps one achieve status, dreams, desires, power and position.
6. Rahu – This period creates doubts on the worldly attributes of the external world. People start reflecting and realizing that there is more meaning elsewhere, and reflecting the illusion in the mind.
7. Jupiter – This phase many people seek spiritual path, knowing that death is inevitable.
8. Saturn – Finally gives disease, old age, and life slows down.
9. Mercury – When old age hits, you become child-like again, dependent on others

As a result, the planets in our solar system, as well as the stars/nakshatras influence our human life in 9 stages. In essence, we are the microcosm of the macrocosm, and all things in our universe are connected.

Shakespeare must have known about the Vedic scriptures. In ‘As you Like it’, he states the ‘7 stages of mankind’, while the Vedas describe a similar theory of ‘4 stages of mankind.’ In essence, Shakespeare and many spiritual texts across the world state that our bodies are always evolving through life, from infancy to old age, and eventually to death. Our body is an instrument, and is ‘on loan’ from the earthly world to play out our karmas (the good, bad, and ugly). But what is timeless is that spiritual & soulful side of life that never changes. As we go through life together, there is a great saying that states “I asked God to spare me pain. God said no. Instead replies, Suffering draws you away from the material world, and worldly cares and brings you closer to me and divinity.”

A secret of the Vedic Tradition. So in theory, we all want love, in the right way. But how do we achieve that? Some people believe that marriage will provide love, security, and happiness. And it often does for some of us. But not for everyone. In Vedic Astrology, we can analyze the “marriage” indicator in your birth chart, which is known as the 7th House. By analyzing your 7th House placement in your birth chart, you can tell a lot about your marriage or married life. If marriage is favorable for you, then you will are destined to have a marriage that promotes prosperity, spirituality, duty, and pleasure. However, if your marriage indicator (or 7th House) is damaged or more unfavorable, it may give lots of troubles, hardships, and possibly a divorce. So, how can one still achieve a happy love life, if the 7th house of marriage has major flaws? There is a way out in Vedic Astrology. If your 7th House of marriage is very damaged, and cannot be easily repaired, then one thing to do is to keep your “lover” as your “lover” (which is the 5th house of love affairs), but don’t sign the marriage contract! Hence, you never need to activate the 7th house of marriage contract in your chart. Another great rule of thumb in Vedic Astrology is to get married after 35-36 (or even later). This ensures that the negative karma of your marriage potential slowly drifts away.

This past week, I went back in TIME when I binged watched Stranger Things III, and saw the new movie ‘Blinded by the Light.” It brought back memories of my childhood in the 1980s in a nostalgic way, and that led me to think of the Vedic concept of Time.

Time. (or ‘Kaal’ in Sanskrit). If we think about it, there is not one hour, one minute, or even one second that is missed or paused by accident. Time keeps moving forward for everyone, without wavering. In theory, time is considered the most perfect Karma, and the most reliable tool for all. Time is emotionless, and unflinching. According to one theory of creation, time is a manifestation of the divine. For us, for our human experience, time is associated with birth and death, and the creation of time begins when a person’s energies are activated, and ends when time withdraws all of the energies into a state of inactivity. The irony of time is that although Time is infinite in a universal sense, for each human experience, it is FINITE. And thus Vedic literature associates time with death (or Yama’ in Sanskrit.)

28/03/2019

Kali Yuga. Kali Yuga is the last of the four stages (or ages or yugas) the world goes through as part of its 'time cycle’. The Vedas state that in Kali Yuga, we will eventually experience “6 seasons” due to our destruction to the environment.

You will see strife and quarrel within family members. Families will break apart due to pride, greed, envy, lust, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Individual sins will increase exponentially, while a virtuous mind will fade and cease to flourish. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur.

An increase of addictions/body consciousness will also occur, and eventually the human life span will only live up to 35 years old.
