i recently got a comment that made a really good point:
sometimes it’s not the cards — it’s how we’re using them.

and it brought up something i don’t talk about enough…
that i’ve had to step away from my tarot practice more than once.
even as a reader. even as a teacher.

not because i stopped believing in the cards —
but because i was using them to avoid, escape, control.
i was pulling to bypass. not to go inward.

why do i teach with the rider-waite-smith deck? ✨

i use it in tarot school because it’s one of the easiest decks to learn with, especially for beginners. the imagery is rich with symbolism that aligns with the card meanings, which helps build that intuitive muscle right from the start.
