Excellent news let’s hope it goes up soon

Huge news today: Northern Ireland is finally receiving a permanent mother and baby unit (MBU).

Mums and families have been campaigning for this for so long. Thanks to all our NI café group members, volunteers, Liz Main Morrison, Julie Anderson, Marie-louise Connolly, WRDA and all of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) NI group for their relentless work on this campaign with us.

The new unit will save lives and prevent the life-long trauma caused by non-specialist treatment and separating mums and babies for treatment during postpartum psychosis.

Our hearts are with everyone who has worked tirelessly to help this happen, and today especially with bereaved families in Northern Ireland 💜

🐣Treat your little chicks to all the fun of Aqualand interactive play area, complete with its own slides, see-saws and lots more, while the main Leisure Pool slides remain off.
