I highly recommend this protein powder. Whey protein is the best absorbed protein, but as it comes from dairy animals, I avoid it. Now I found out about a vegan whey protein by a company called MyProtein. My amazing client told me about it. I had it this morning right after my gym workout, and it was good. I first tried it with water, then I added some ginger-turmeric juice as ginger and turmeric are good anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Okay, I know I am pretty bad at recording my recipes. I will try to get better at this. A lot of times I prepare food by feel without intention to post. So here are some brownies I made. Ingredients are broccoli, cocoa powder, peanut butter, Lakanto chocolate chips, monk fruit powder, coconut oil. I didn't even have to cook it.

Now I certainly didn't do my anaerobic threshold for nearly half of 18 miles. But the 220-age formula is based on the idea that our max heart rate goes down as we age, which is largely true but varies, especially for fit people. In addition to a good breakfast, I like to add ginger and turmeric as they are anti-inflammatory herbs. I also like to add flaxseed oil, which is good for the joints, and MCT oil. We do utilize fat as well as carbohydrates for long runs.

Now I definitely wasn't in Zone 4 (anaerobic threshold) for most of the workout on Tuesday. But given that I am 40, it is estimating my max heart rate based on that. But I am pretty close to my high school shape when it comes to 5Ks and 10Ks. And I never did half marathons or marathons in high school. That is what a healthy lifestyle does. Happy Mango Monday New Year 🥭.Starting 2024 on a high note. Now this is a regular run. I am not actually running Zone 4 and Zone 5 for half the run. Garmin is just estimating based on my age of 40. But I am running times very close to high school times. My high school 10K was 42:04, and I ran 42:25 a couple early after recovering from an upper respiratory infection less than 2 weeks before. I am a 9 time marathon runner with a time of 3:38, getting better over the years. My half marathon best time is 1:34. I am also a running coach and open to more clients for running as well as weightlifting, cardio kickboxing, stretching with weights and more. Good morning,

I am raising money for Smile Train, which performs reconstructive surgery for cleft lip. This is part of a charity program for the Chicago Marathon. Which will be my 10th marathon. Help me brighten the smiles on these faces.

Another great way to add fruits vegetables to your diet. This is boiled yellow squash with pumpkin seed, blueberries, and peanut butter. I added some cinnamon and ginger. If you really need something sweeter, you can always add maple syrup if you are trying to cut back on things like pancakes, but ideally best to avoid adding any sweetener. The first is already good for sweetening.

Pumpkin pancakes from flaxseed and almond flour. I added sugar free syrup and blueberry on top. Here is the recipe. Hear it in an oven as it doesn't do well on a pan.

1) 1 cup flaxseed flour
2) 1 cup almond flour
3) 2 cups water
4) 1 scoop pea protein powder
5) 1/2 can pumpkin puree
6) 1 teaspoon cinnamon
7) 1 teaspoon ginger
