Thank you to the HBCU Aging Conference Leadership for inviting me to participate as a speaker this year! I had a wonderful time. The representation of HBCUs in aging is important, our research, advocacy & work matter. It was an honor to present my workshops & I had an excellent time. I continue to advocate for HBCUs & their role in reframing aging & sharing the experiences of underrepresented communities. We are the future & have so much to contribute.

As an educator my proudest moments involve my students. Watching them participate in commencement activities all week was an honor. Today, my students became Alumni & I am thrilled to have experienced their highs & lows. To those who are on a journey & not sure where the end will take them - be encouraged. We rarely know where we’re going until we actually arrive!

Today, I witnessed 375 students preparing to transform the world around them! I am excited for whatever will come. With everything you do, be patient & kind to yourself. Transformation starts with Eu!
