In my twenties, I had the abs, but I was binge drinking and worse most weekends.

The first picture was taken in Ibiza, at the peak of my partying days.

Looking back, I’m honestly thankful I’m still alive and not brain-damaged.

To be honest, I was the instigator when it came to going hard.

I was the bad influence who didn’t want the party to end.

Most of my money went on going out and getting smashed.

Then I discovered a men’s physique bodybuilding comp in my local area.

It gave me something positive to channel my “all-or-nothing” mentality into.

I spent the next three years doing bodybuilding comps.

It taught me discipline, but I ended up struggling with binge eating for two years.

What changed? I started focusing on health over aesthetics.

I ate more whole foods, drank less alcohol, and trained smarter, not harder.

I realized skipping breakfast wouldn’t cause me to lose muscle.

My energy soared, my gut healed, and my strength skyrocketed.

Client Spotlight- Michelle Margolis 🔥🙌🏻

Massive shoutout to OYB Client Michelle who dropped 20 Pounds within her first 90 days of coaching and transformed her Confidence.

When she reached out, Michelle had plateaued with her Fat Loss and was feeling frustrated and disheartened.

She also went through a tough Break-Up at the start of the 90 days but instead of quitting and feeling sorry for herself, she channelled that energy into her Health and Body Goals.

Even within her first 3 weeks, she dropped 9 Pounds and 3 inches off her waist!

Within 90 days she dropped 5 inches off her waist and 20 Pounds on the scales!

Michelle has also Built Lean Muscle, Achieved Drastic Strength Gains and she’s built an incredible amount of Mental Resilience along the way.

It’s worth mentioning, that her 13 year old Daughter is now training with her in the gym and eating healthier foods.

2024: My Biggest Year of Growth Yet

This year was full of challenges, changes, and personal growth.

As an entrepreneur, you have to be relentless.

You need a vision, a mission, and the grit to make it all happen.

For me, that mission is helping people transform their mind, body, and lifestyle.
But it comes with sacrifices.

In the past, I’ve struggled to balance personal life, relationships, and business.
This year, I finally made time for what matters:

👉🏼 More quality time with family and friends.
👉🏼 Traveling to Brazil and Santorini.
👉🏼 Having my mum stay with me for a month in Sydney.

2024 also brought challenges in business, relationships, and my personal life.

But challenge is an opportunity for growth.

💡 Here Are My 5 Biggest Lessons of 2024:

1️⃣ Being Present and Enjoying your life whilst pursuing your purpose, is my definition of success

2️⃣ Nature is not just important, it’s Essential for my Mental Health and Performance

3️⃣ Lead with Value and success is the byproduct

4️⃣ To get s**t done keep it simple: Annual Goals ➡️ Monthly Targets ➡️ Weekly Targets ➡️ Daily Actions. The End.

5️⃣ Getting Married is Risky, Dying Lonely is Riskier. Investing in risky, not investing is riskier.

I’ve grown more this year than ever before—and I’m proud of it.

Here are 5 mistakes I made in my 20s that you should avoid if you want to transform your body and life without the setbacks.

1️⃣ Ignoring food’s impact on your health
Most people value food purely for how it tastes. I unlocked a new level of health, performance, and aesthetics when I started paying attention to how food made me feel and its impact on health markers like mood, energy, sleep, and digestion. Taste is important, but how do you feel when you eat more protein and less sugar, for example?

2️⃣ Eating my emotions
When my partying slowed down, I turned to food instead. Emotional eating can rob you of your full potential. Now, I focus on eating when I’m truly hungry. Instead of cutting all your favorite foods, start by adding more whole foods and changing one habit at a time. This approach works.

3️⃣ Overtraining to punish myself
I used to binge eat on weekends and punish myself in the gym, driven by self-hate. This approach burned me out. Many will go too hard this January after holiday weight gain, only to quit. Sustainable results come from training smart, not extreme.

4️⃣ Focusing only on calories
Calories matter for fat loss and muscle gain, but ingredients matter more. Now, I eat 90% single-ingredient foods, and staying in shape feels effortless. Quality beats quantity.

5️⃣ Keeping junk food at home
This one’s simple: if it’s in the house, you’ll eat it. Remove the temptation. You can’t eat what you don’t have.

Winter body vs. summer body. What’s the difference?

They say summer bodies are made in the winter, but I disagree…

Why not have a summer body all year round?

I used to do the whole “bulking” and “cutting” thing, but I’d gain too much body fat when bulking and I hate losing my Abs!

These days, I eat mainly whole foods and my metabolism is firing on all cylinders, so my biggest challenge is eating enough food to keep up.

Here’s the thing:

If you’re having to be super restrictive with calories to cut, or you’re constantly overeating when bulking, you’re stuck in a cycle that’s holding you back.

1️⃣ You gain too much fat when bulking.

2️⃣ You slash calories too hard when cutting.

3️⃣ And your body ends up storing more fat over time.

The result? You don’t build much muscle, and you feel stuck and frustrated.

It’s time to stop playing the extreme game and start optimising your metabolism.

Build muscle. Stay lean. Feel unstoppable all year round.

At 47, Mel’s in the best shape of her life, gaining 3kgs of lean muscle in 6 months!

She works 12-hour shifts on the mines and still trains 4 times a week—no excuses.
