หลายคนมองว่าความจำคือพลังสำคัญของมนุษย์ แต่งานวิจัยทางประสาทวิทยากลับพบว่า "การลืม" ก็เป็นกลไกสำคัญไม่แพ้กัน เพราะถ้าจำทุกอย่างได้แบบ 100% เราอาจแบกอารมณ์เจ็บปวดจากอดีตไปตลอดชีวิต ไม่กล้าทำสิ่งใหม่ ไม่กล้าผิดพลาดซ้ำ และสรุปสาระสำคัญจากประสบการณ์ไม่ได้เลย

ในทางกลับกัน การลืมช่วยให้เราคัดกรองข้อมูล ฟื้นตัวจากเรื่องแย่ๆ และกล้าสร้างอนาคตใหม่อีกครั้ง คล้ายกับที่สมองของเราทำงานแบบ “Generative AI” ทุกครั้งที่เราเรียกความจำ เราไม่ได้เรียกไฟล์เดิมขึ้นมา แต่สร้างมันขึ้นใหม่จากชิ้นส่วนความรู้และอารมณ์ ทำให้ความทรงจำคือภาพที่ผ่านการปรุงแต่งเสมอ การเข้าใจกลไกนี้...อาจช่วยให้เราใช้ "การลืม" อย่างมีสติ และใช้ชีวิตได้อย่างเบาสบายขึ้นในทุกวัน

Our thoughts are with those affected by Friday's earthquake here in our country and across the border in Myanmar.

For our families and children, we'd also like to share this useful post below by our colleagues at Understory Family Centre.

Traumatic events such as coronavirus, natural disasters, accidents, or violence can be overwhelmingly stressful for children. These tips can help your child recover.

Due to the earthquake this early afternoon , Little Sprouts will be closed for the rest of the day for safety reasons. Sessions will resume as normally tomorrow morning. If anything changes, we will post our update on this platform.
