In my recent newsletter, I shared how turning 40, going through growth & transformation, & perimenopause has changed my outlook on how I'm moving through this next decade.

Implementing boundaries around our energy, time, and emotional space is vital to our well-being being, because aging is challenging, especially for women.

Caring for your well-being FIRST is the ultimate self-care act. And since May is mental health awareness month, it's the perfect time to start putting your needs on the list of priorities. Your mind & body will thank you for it.

Welcome to Ta**us season ♉️🌷

If you listened to the latest podcast episode, I discussed reclaiming our femininity. Ta**us is ruled by Venus - all things lovely, soft, luxurious, and comforting ☺️

Venus has a focus on the heart chakra, and beauty flows from the heart, so let the romance pour out - to yourself first. Are you romancing your life, sis? (Or brotha)

Spend some time in nature this week, and prepare the soil for the full moon in watery, deep, and intense Scorpio. This is one last step to clear emotional debris after Aries season & before we head into summer. Give yourself the gift of nourishment as we celebrate the blooming of new beginnings.

Happy Earth day 🌎

Wellness begins with healthy habits 🌱

In March, I did a 21-day fast/cleanse/detox where I eliminated coffee & sugar from my diet (and that's a major step for a coffee snob like me) I mostly had green tea/juice for breakfast & ate one meal a day a sundown.

The results:

1. I felt clearer mentally. Coffee wasn't doing anything for me but cluttering my mind & ultimately giving me anxiety. I love the taste tho 😬
2. I lost several inches in my waist & ultimately a few pounds. Not bad.
3. I found that I overeat. Most days I'm not even hungry until about noon, or even later. My body doesn't need 3 meals a day - only quality food and nutrients in the morning.

This experience really taught me how to intentionally listen to what my body needs. Some days I wanted breakfast, some days I didn't. Some days I wanted tea over juice.

Healthier habits can be the first thing to go when feeling stressed or under pressure, but putting the right stuff in my body to feel my best is the one thing I will continue to work at. *as I sip this morning's coffee* light roast tho 🥴

We all know that moving our body, & eating healthy is important. You don't need me to tell you that. It's the motivation behind the habits that gets us stuck. What's your motivation for sticking to your wellness habits & goals? Lemme know in the comments 🫶🏾

I cannot believe I'll be 41 three months 🫣 this time last year, I was on a mission to be "fit & 40" & sat out to do a whole reset of my habits, detox, launch a program, AND throw myself a birthday party....

Chile, doing the absolute most. Needless to say, ain't none of that s**t happen. Except the birthday party, which is another story for another day 😏

So this year, I'm really just focused on feeling good in my body.

Winter was challenging for me. I was battling with A LOT, and as "the strong friend" I kept a smile and my stride. I'm supposed to be the encouraging one! *side note: please check on your strong friends.

Anyway, now that spring is here I'm feeling a sense of renewal and thanks to all of this cosmic energy in Aries + my 6th house (which rules health + wellness) it's time to get that ass up and take action!

If you're 40+ now is the time to take your health SERIOUSLY. As we age, our muscles & bones weaken so keeping your body strong is vital to overall wellness.

It's been years since I've worked out in a gym. But something's got me excited about this new season in life ✨️

In the past 7 years, I've become a Holistic Wellness Educator/Practicioner, Pilates Teacher, podcast host & life coach sharing tools to build a more healthy lifestyle.

After years of coaching, I've decided to switch things up. If you've been on the journey with me, you've seen some recent changes in my content, branding, and overall direction.

You've probably seen name changes, many pivots, & shifts - which are a normal aspect of entrepreneurship & the journey has not been an easy one. IYKYK.

I've launched sold-out products, taught classes & workshops, done readings, + more.

The vision has always been to empower women of color to create a life of fulfillment by cultivating a deeper love of self. Which is still the vision, btw.

Part of my teaching includes adaptability and accepting change, embracing growth & evolution through life's challenges and stepping into your individual power.

Well, now I've entered a season of taking my own damn advice by letting go of what is to embrace what's new & waiting to be birthed into the world. If you’ve listened to season 3 of the podcast, you know the many episodes about the transformation I've been experiencing.

Anyway, I say all that to celebrate a new journey I'm on by writing my very first book 📖 ☺️ 🤯

A dream of mine was always to become an author, and I'm finally stepping out of fear (and my comfort zone) to harness all of my work into a series of books. Wow. Adding author to my titles sounds sexy AF 😆

SO, I am no longer "coaching" per say, however I will still teach. The podcast ain't going nowhere, although some changes have been made. OH - and, if you're not subscribed to my YouTube, you may wanna head over there & do that NOW, cause new ish is coming. I have one more "announcement," but that's all the tea I'm sharing tonight. Subscribe to the newsletter for the rest 😁

Thank you for rocking with me all these years and for being part of my growth journey. I'm actually just getting started & I'm so excited to see what's next ❤️

This message has been a core theme in the energy readings on Patreon.

I've been in the space of really pouring into myself like never before. I wasn't really taught how to put myself first, quite the opposite, really. I'm sure you can relate.

But in this season, I am holding myself accountable for putting myself FIRST. No damn questions asked!
