Research findings suggest blaming victims for post-traumatic symptoms is not only wrong but also contributes to the vicious cycle of traumatization. Abuse in all forms are a daily reality for many Nigerian children and only a fraction of them get help. 6 out of 10children experience some form of violence and abuse.
Abused children may show signs of depression, inability to concentrate, violent behavior, suicidal tendencies, low self esteem and various medical conditions amongst others.
