Everyone loves dinners out/takeaways and being healthy isn’t about getting rid of those things.💥TRY THIS INSTEAD!👇🏻
Option 1: Order whatever you want. Burger and fries? Go for it! 🍔🍟
As long as you aren’t eating like this everyday and for every meal then this 1 meal is NOT going to derail your progress/health.
Option 2: Look for what’s satiating and more of a complete meal on the menu. Think soup, salad, curry etc. Usually full of fruit/veg, carbohydrates and hopefully protein too. 🍅🥑🥕
You’re still having a break from doing the cooking and cleanup but you’re eating something delicious that also nourishes your body. You can add accompaniments/toppings to your meal to balance it out and keep you full, if it needs it.
Tips:
💚 Add extra tofu/veg to your curry
💚 Order wholegrain rice/quinoa if they have it.
💚 Order a side of green vegetables.
💚 Add a protein. Beans/tofu etc.
💚 Make the most of toppings such as oil, nuts, seeds etc.
💚 Add avocado for healthy fats and more plant points.
✨ Eat mindfully. Chew well, savour every bite and ✋🏻STOP when you’re full. Save the leftovers for later (if possible).
❌ NEITHER OPTION IS WRONG. ❌ Depending on what you order one may be more nutritious than the other but it’s about BALANCE and being social and taking a night off from cooking and just…LIFE. Peoples busy lives and FITTING HEALTH IN with that.
[I recently ordered a Thai green curry from Eed Thai with extra tofu and vegetables, they only had white rice. I also ordered some extra stir fried vegetables in garlic on the side.
The food was delicious, I really enjoyed it and didn’t feel like I had to punish myself for it.]
