Creating more structure with food can be scary when you’ve felt out of control for years. When you take away something that was once a balm for the hard moments of life, something in us is gonna throw a tantrum.

This is work for the courageous - those who are willing to dive in, and willing to feel the discomfort that comes with really being honest with yourself.

But if you can get through that, I’m talking like a week or two of uncertainty + doubt, there’s a whole world on the other side.

I’ve worked with hundreds of women at this point. Over the last 3 years, I’ve streamlined my Intuitive Macros framework and coaching method a lot. I’m incredibly direct, clear, and honest about what it takes - and equally compassionate about what comes up emotionally when that happens.

I can hold space AND remind you that you are stronger than you think - but it ain’t gonna happen without some effort + willingness on your part to rewrite your story by taking actions that build momentum and clarity.

I see it every day - the “omg I’m really gonna be honest with my food + drinking now” at the beginning to “omg I’m getting better results than I have in years” just a few weeks later.

That’s the portal you have to get through to feel like yourself again - to become the healthiest and happiest version of you. And the more you keep doing that, the better it’ll get.

Don’t resist structure, discipline, and acting in accordance to your real values.

For most it happens with:

💓 Nutritional structure
💓 Learning about internal cues + feedback
💓 Making aligned, values-based decisions for a long time

Things I’ve accepted about myself lately that I no longer want to change (which has helped me feel sooo much calmer) 💕:

My need for dopamine

The fact that I like getting in bed at 9

My love for trash TV (housewives, etc.)

My desire to be indoors

The fact that I MUST go outdoors for my mental health 😝

My hatred for the heat and the fact that it puts me in an instant bad mood

How particular I am

How much I need to talk + communicate

Being an overpacker (got a new giant bag this week)

Hating small talk

My love + need for alone time

Saying no to alcohol

My body hating a lot of sugar

My sensitive nervous system (evidenced by my aura migraines)

My disdain for small talk

Needing to eat in a particular way to feel like myself

My interests

My deep attachment to my boyfriend + dog + besties

Loving reading more than anything else

Being moody

Liking puzzles + crafts

My health anxiety 🙈

Being a silly weirdo

Loving travel/adventure but wanting to be home most of the time

Loved my July! Traveled to Toronto to see Josh’s family, ate a lot of good food out + at home, still cooking more, still having less sugar but still some (🍦), hung out with family and friends, caught up with old ones, explored, saw Niagara Falls for the first time, got massages, allowed myself to relax for once, recovered from my headaches, got a brain MRI (first time seeing my own brain 🧠 lol!), worked hard on my biz as I prepped for the GlowFit launch and welcomed more women into my ShapeShift program. ✨🔮

Lots to come this month with online biz coaching, hanging out with family and friends, and traveling again towards the end of the month! 🎰

My goals for August are to work my butt off in my biz and really buckle down on my back-end, improve my programs, start a couple new projects, and get back on lifting consistency after not really training much this summer - I’m needing it and I’m excited. Check back next month for progress on that. 💜

The craziest thing is that I do so much less now than when I was almost 200lb. I spent a ton of time learning what actually works and what doesn’t.

I also eat so much more, and train a lot less - but only do things that move the dial.

Truthfully it only would have taken me a couple hours of practice to learn the skills needed to make this change in a way that wasn’t miserable (eating what I wanted, spending a 30-40 min/day training).

But I put off starting that first hour for YEARSSSS. As you can see here, it took me over ten.

The funny thing is - I used to dreaaaad the thought of these changes but I *actually* enjoy the actions I take now.

💓 I eat what I want.
💓 I fully participate in my life.
💓 I eat sugar and bread every single day.
💓 I love getting dressed + feel sexy most days.
💓 I am consistent with my habits even though they’re hard.
💓 I can tolerate discomfort + uncertainty (cravings, the scale, navigating social situations + vacation)
💓 I work out every day.
💓 I show up daily whether I feel like it or not.

Almost forgot that this was the whole point 🌊 went to Niagara Falls for the first time yesterday and was completely in awe over it. Also didn’t know it’s like a mini Vegas, too!?
