Temporary RN Community role - Looking for a calm, friendly and quietly spoken RN with experience in SPC catheter care, skin integrity, pressure care, wound care, and the delivery of education to carers. Suit empathetic female RN who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Participant is aged in her 60s living in Wynyard and is supported by 2:1 disability support workers. All care and social support provided in the home. Support staff require annual training in catheter management once a year (approx. 2hr). Must be respectful of the rights of a person living with a disability to exercise choice and control, and dignity of risk.
Funding for 1hr per week care, up to 1hr per week travel, additional time to complete transport forms when needed (approx. bi monthly), and phone/email correspondence with care team. The successful person can negotiate hours to fit in with other employment. Case notes and annual report to NDIS required. Will require own ABN, current RN registration + insurance, will be responsible for own tax and super. Hourly rate is $115/hr. Some online NDIS training will be required as a pre-requisite. Buddy shifts with current RN commence end March for up to 4wks. Position from April 2025 to approx. January 2026 (Mat Leave).
