It’s been a hot minute since I did a WIEIAD post; I understand that for some people these can be triggering and it’s important to remember that we are all built differently/have different nutritional requirements so this is just an example of what I eat on a typical week day 🫶🏻 focusing on my protein intake and eating things that bring me a little bit of joy!

(& no I do not usually have a house filled with roses, I’m just letting my bday week drag on for a little longer)

Breakfast- Greek yog, chocolate meusli & a drizzle of honey
Followed by my fave vegan chocolate protein blend 🤌🏻
Mid morning snack- Vanilla yoghurt & banana
Lunch- Sweet potato chilli & whole grain rice
Afternoon snack- chocolate brownie bar & a peppermint tea (10/10 for keeping bloating at bay)
Post work snack- Cottage cheese on sourdough toast
Dinner- Chicken and bacon creamy pea pasta
Followed by a cheeky trip to get some mini eggs 🤭

Is your relationship with food a bit rocky? Well I know how you feel 🫶🏻 It’s only over the past couple of years that I’ve started to heal my relationship with food and learn to appreciate my body for what it enables me to do each day (regardless of what size clothes I wear!)

For years I would skip meals, binge and purge to try and look a certain way, and although I wouldn’t say that I am completely healed I am in a much more comfortable place right now. Swipe across for a few things that have helped me on my journey ⏭️

Some mid-week meal inspo 🍽️ As I’ve got a lot of saving goals this year, I’m trying really hard to avoid takeaways and focus on making low-spend yet DELICIOUS nutritious meals at home. Shoutout to for some serious inspo 🫶🏻🫶🏻

1. Pizza wraps are LIFE
2. Sundried tomato pasta (salmon swapped to 🐔)
3. Sweet potato chilli
4. Crispy taco crunch wraps
5. Simple Nando’s chicken & veggies
6. chicken curry & rice

Are you looking for a healthy, easy to prep breakfast? Well shoutout to for introducing me to my new FAVE THING 😍😍 These are quick to make (even quicker to eat) and can be made with ingredients there’s a 99% chance that you already have in the cupboards! Recipe below:

2 mashed bananas
Oats
50g dark chocolate chips
120g peanut butter ( is my go-to)
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Mix it all together, bake on 160 for 10 mins- TADAH!

I for one LOVE a sweet treat; I used to restrict myself and only allow indulgent foods when I felt that I had earned it, but now I treat myself at the end of near enough every meal 🤭 and for that reason, if I can give it a healthier twist then I will! Protein banana bread is my current OBSESSION ✨

• 3 ripe bananas
• 100g dark chocolate chips
• 100g vanilla protein blend
• 75g melted butter
• 1 egg
• 50g sugar
• 185g flour (I use GF)
• 1tsp bicarbonate soda
• 1tsp vanilla extract
• Splash of skimmed milk (or milk alternative)

Method: mash the bananas in a large bowl, combine with the melted butter and then gradually add everything else! Bake at 180 degrees C for 30-40 mins.

Pancakes with 🥞💕 GUILT FREE!!!
There was a time that I wouldn’t have dreamt of eating something like this for breakfast, or if I did I would have spent the remainder of the day battling with food guilt. But I have spent several years healing my relationship with food and now I accept that it is OKAY to indulge in pleasurable foods- sometimes we need something that is not only good for our health, but good for our SOUL ✨🫶🏻

If you’re weekends don’t look like this then you’re doing it WRONG 💫 (of course there is no right or wrong way to spend your weekend, but for me a rest and recovery was very much needed- don’t forget, rest is PRODUCTIVE!)

Friday afternoons are for prepping for the weekend 🌶️ This week I’ve simplified a recipe for Sweet Potato Chilli; as somebody who is a BIG fan of the classic beef-mince variation this was a big change for me- but it tastes incredible!!!

This is my favourite kind of recipe, because aside from pre-cooking the sweet potato it can all go in the pan and once and be left to simmer for 45 mins 🤌🏻

• 2 large/4 small sweet potatoes
• 1 tin chopped tomatoes
• 1 tin of kidney beans
• 1 red onion (diced)
• 1 red pepper (diced) you could add a yellow too!
• 1 tbsp tomato puree
• 1 tsp paprika, cinnamon & mixed herbs

Disclaimer: I added a handful of bacon lardons too, as I’m from a household that wouldn’t have taken well to a completely meat free dish for their lunch/dinner!

January dump 📸 The longest and most uneventful month, that I didn’t know was exactly what I needed.

After Christmas I felt burnt out and in need of a reset, so I spent January focusing on getting back into routine, setting some new goals and having some much needed down time ✨ coffee, gym and books are just about all I absorbed and I’m absolutely fine with it!
