Cowgirl Beans It all started when I was 4 and declared I wanted to be a cowgirl when I grew up.

When mom made baked beans I wasn’t sure about eating them (probably because they were messy) but mom insisted theywere Cowgirl Beans, and all cowgirls who sat around campfires at the end of a work day ate them. That sealed the deal as I am easily convinced and a rule follower (except when it comes to recipes). This blog is a collection of recipes following my migration from meatasaurus to vegetarian to an occasional fish eating flexitarian. I stress local, fresh, whole foods and strive to make our diets as healthy and natural as possible. I love a good challenge, and am passionate about making food that tastes good- so if you have a favorite that needs healthy revamping please let me know. I am a 20-something elementary teacher, therapeutic riding instructor, foodie, lab lover, wife of my best friend, and princess of the one true King of Kings. Everything I do I strive to do in “sincerity of heart, fearing God…heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing from the Lord I will receive my reward of inheritance for I serve the Lord Jesus.” Colossians 3:22-24
