You can get rid of gym intimidation once and for all.
Before you start wondering if I returned to school and graduated with another degree...
The answer is no.
This picture is from 10 years ago at pharmacy school graduation.
(I know it's hard to believe since Rachel looks like she hasn't aged a bit🔥)
It marks a special moment where 4 years of studying and working hard paid off.
"But, Brian, how does this apply to getting rid of my fear of the gym?"
Glad you asked.
I went into pharmacy school knowing absolutely NOTHING about medications or the conditions for which they were given.
There is no way I could have been a safe or helpful pharmacist if you had asked me a question.
But what did I spend my time doing in those 4 years of school (other than "socializing" a bit too much)?
Studying, practicing, and putting what I was learning into action.
And the same thing applies to your fear of the gym or working out.
Just like I couldn't have helped someone with their medication question right away, no one expects you to walk into a gym for the first time and know enough to train others.
[Side note: everyone else is too busy paying attention to themselves to even look at what you are doing]
You aren't going to have the most perfect form, or know what you are doing right away and that is OKAY.
I couldn't have picked out the best medications for blood pressure or diabetes in the first year of school.
It takes time to learn.
The cool thing is unlike school, there is no grade at the end of a workout session.
Permission to let go of the fear of failure given.
Bottom line: to get the lasting physical and mental results you want healthwise...You must exercise.
Anyone who tells you nutrition is the ONLY thing that matters is lying to you.
So getting rid of gym intimidation is a must.
And quite simple really once you have a plan and approach working out from a mentality of "I'm just practicing and learning, working on getting better form each time I show up."
My clients who have had this problem found that their fears weren't warranted after 1-2 sessions working out.
Especially with having me right in their pocket to guide them every step of the way.
You can think of me as your fitness pharmacist dispensing your health and full potential 😄
