We are pleased to share that Jeanna Rich was featured in an Everyday Health article on GVHD. She did a wonderful job providing answers, and it's awesome to see her featured on a national publication like this!

CIAND Gabby and Jeanna hosted the first ever OSF Enteral Skill event where RDs learned about methods of feeding and got to hands on conduct bolus and gravity bag feedings and learn about the equipment including new info enteral pumps.

They learned about how a PEG is placed and the new protocols for site care which falls in with the RD scope of practice and the NFPE. They also learned about ordering nutrition and what do when intolerance occurs. Additionally- viscosity, blended foods & feedings, Bolee Bags, FreeArm was discussed.

This allowed OSFs RDs to enhance their skills and critical thinking when it comes to enteral nutrition. We can not wait for next year to learn even more!

Gabby and Jeanna hope to re-create an event like this to bring to CIAND members!

Last night awards from the IAND Spring Assembly were presented to two of our very own CIAND members, Kimmie Maki and Gabby Haskell, were recognized for their excellence in the field of dietetics.

Kimmie won the Emerging Dietetic Leader award.

Gabby won the Young Dietitian of the Year award.

We are so proud of you both!
