Connect Pediatrics is a leading provider of pediatric home health care (nursing and therapy) throughout Texas. Our highly trained clinicians provide personalized, ongoing care for children with needs such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, feeding tube care, enteral/parental nutrition, respiratory care, seizure intervention, and other specialized medical care. Our back office and managem

ent team provides 24/7 support to our nurses and therapists. We offer flexible schedules, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes PTO, 401K, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance. Connect Pediatrics was founded by Ezra and Gina Kuenzi, RN, who were inspired by their nephew, Dillon. Dillon was born with multiple medical issues so severe that he needs round-the-clock skilled nursing care. Based on our family's experience, we started Connect with the goal of simply providing each patient with the same level of care and service that we would want for our own family. With that goal in mind, we focus not only on providing the highest level of clinical care, but also on building relationships and connecting with each family on a personal level.

A new study has identified four distinct autism subtypes, each with its own genetic and developmental profile. This discovery could be a game changer—paving the way for personalized care and more effective therapies for children on the spectrum. 💙

Here’s a quick look at the subtypes:

1️⃣ Social & Behavioral Challenges – Strong autism traits, typical development, more co-occurring conditions like anxiety or ADHD.
2️⃣ Developmental Delay – Delayed milestones with fewer psychiatric symptoms.
3️⃣ Moderate Challenges – Milder autism traits and few additional conditions.
4️⃣ Broadly Affected – Greater delays across multiple areas and more genetic mutations.

Understanding these differences helps doctors and families better support each child’s unique journey—from early diagnosis to tailored treatment. 💡

🎉 Meet Vikash Ganeshkumar – Madurai's Cricket Star! 🏏

Diagnosed with mild intellectual disability at age 5. Vikash began mainstream education, later transferred to a special school where he embraced sports. His passion for cricket grew after being included in the mixed disability category. District- and state-level success led to national recognition and a call-up from the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India—based on standout video trials

Now he is training in Jaipur, Vikash is about to fulfill his dream of wearing the India jersey—filled with pride and determination

Vikash’s one of only four intellectually disabled players on the team—and the only representative from Tamil Nadu

The Connect Pediatric Therapy team had an incredible time participating in the 2025 Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association (TSHA)Annual Convention April 30-May 2, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. 🤝🌟

The therapy team was able to meet and recruit current and future Speech-Language Pathologists and SLP Assistants from all across Texas!

Many promising, new connections were made and one lucky therapist even won a prize. Looking forward to TSHA 2026 in Ft. Worth, Texas! 🙌
