Bleeding sorrows

Just as Job endured his pain,
Yet said nothing I'll
Of the LORD in vain!
My life is but a speck of dust
Being soaked up by the rain.

I will wait on the LORD
He will carry my concerns,
Perseverance is a must,
Even though it burns.

LORD YOU are my refuge
My shepherd in whom I love.
Please LORD if you will it,
Send me Angels from above!

Provide for me my every need,
Comfort me in Times of sorrow.
Protect me from the devil please,
So I can make it to tomorrow!

Double Vision

Gratitude was slow to wake this morning.
The first thoughts that came to my mind,
were for someone to take warning.
Rubbed my eyes till I was blind,
And continued the scorning.

Did it make my day better,
to breathe fire at a neighbor,
or stand out in cold weather.

There are more things I would favor,
like having coffee together.

Those shoes didn’t fit well,
They must not have been mine.
It was kind of hard to tell,
“Ahh! Wear them anyway, it’ll be fine”.
It’s only one mile to the landmark hotel.

That walk seemed so far and painful,
By the time I made that mile.
Maybe next time I will be more grateful,
I would have been much more worth the while.
I learned there was so much
for which I should be grateful for.
I now use double vision each day
and remember to “never keep score”!
And be careful of the words that I say.

Wasted Words!
When You say The Lord’s Prayer,
Do You Pray from Your heart?
Do You understand completely?
Right from the start?
Did you really mean it,
When You said “Thy Will Be Done”?
Did You ask for His Blessing,
Yet pay Him back none?
When You say “Holy is Thy Name”,
Do You bow in Respect?
Or do You look around aimless
And What He gives, You reject?
For thousands of years
We have said The Lord’s Prayer.
Yet nothing has changed!

Distractions

Blinded by the rays of distraction,
clearing the blood from my hands.
glancing through to the sun on the other side,
I see beauty and rest.
though the pain seems unbearable,
there is so much to gain or too much to lose.
The choice should be simple,
there is a solution to every equation.
Like the numbers on the school room chalkboard,
things are so well put together.
Why then are they so complicated to solve on my own.
Am I my own teacher? Do I have the answer to every one of life's problems. Do I have access, do I seek them diligently? If I never invented the solution, should I automatically know the answer?
Should I just copy them from the chalkboard?
Would it be as beneficial as solving the problem on my own, from my own understanding?
All these distractions come from my wandering mind, My own impressions from a painful past give me conclusions that I never before knew were there to give me rest.
With infinite knowledge at my disposal, my ignorance and arrogance have left me with nothing but scars and bruises. Yet I look now to the chalkboard and find myself in congruence with the final numbers at the end of the equation. Remembering then that I never followed the equation to get there.
It just IS. And from that NOW I AM.
