❓ What is the Pyramid Model?

💡 The is a framework of evidence-based practices that are used to promote young children's social and emotional development, and prevent challenging behavior.

👩‍🏫 An effective workforce is the foundation of the Pyramid Model. There are systems and policies in place that are needed to ensure the EC workforce is able to adopt and sustain these evident-based practices.
❤️ Nurturing and responsive relationships, and high quality supportive environments are universal supports provided for all children to promote their social and emotional well-being.
🎯 Targeted social emotional supports promote the intentional teaching of social-emotional skills in order to prevent challenging behavior.
📝 When educators are using all of these practices with all children during all activities, there is a very small percentage of children with persistent challenges that need family-centered, individualized interventions.
