New Day Physical Therapy Physical therapy practice What do you want to get back to? My practice is focused on you and your goals. What does a visit look like? My fee is $120 per hour.

To help you reach them, I use a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercises tailored specifically to you. Appointments are an hour of focused hands-on work on your body. I teach you exercises that reinforce the treatment to do at home but the appointment itself focuses on what I can do to boost your body into healing. As your body heals, we wait 2-3 weeks before treating again to see what your body was able to do for itself and what it still needs help with. How many visits will it take before you're better? This of course depends on the severity of your issue. Most people at first need more intensive treatment because they have waited so long to get help. In general, I will see a client twice in the first 2 weeks, then once every 2-3 weeks for an average of 4-6 visits spread over several months. My goal is to teach people that my services can be preventative and maintenance as well as address acute issues. This means that once people know what I can do for them and what they can do for themselves, they can recognize early signs of something being off and maybe only use my services once or twice a year. What is my fee and do I take insurance? I work for myself because I want to provide the absolute best treatment I know how to do. I do not take insurance because insurance companies mandate too much of how I can treat and dictate my business structure. Insurance is structured for the typical physical therapy prescription of 2x per week for 6 weeks, which I never need to do with the intensive treatments I provide. What if you cannot afford my fee? Please call me anyway, let's work out how you can still get treatment!

It's been a long time since posting...It's always challenging to balance self, family, work. Right now, family wins. My family is better when I am home. I love my work and will return to it, but not today.

Having said that, I am happy to answer questions as best I can via email or facebook.

Keep moving!

Want to know if your practitioner is a good one? Here are a couple of signs:
1. They take continuing education courses.
2. They talk excitedly about some new thing they read about.
3. They get treated themselves.
4. You sometimes hear them say, "I don't know" in response to one of your questions.

It's a new day! Get treated!

When I take a new course, I keep a list of my patients to use new techniques on once I'm back at work. I am currently taking a visceral mobilization course and gave up my list because I cannot think of a single patient that doesn't need visceral work. I am excited to be treating you all!

First, thank your body for the pain and discomfort it causes you. This is to protect you and keep you going. Honor it. Second, go find help to learn how to calm that pain down. I'm a physical therapist but the truth is there are many different kinds of driven, talented body workers that can help. Go get treated!

People ask me all the time what my favorite exercises are to stay healthy. The answer is really simple. Keep moving. Even if you are in pain, maybe even especially if you are in pain (not talking about acute injuries here!), you have to keep moving.

I am closing for 3 weeks and going on vacation! LOL! What a great second post ever to my business page.

Yay! I am excited to be starting my own physical therapy practice and offering highly effective, one-on-one, personal treatment sessions. Like my page for updates on classes, clinics, physical therapy discussions, and general happenings around Mendocino County. How can I help you get back to doing what you love?
