Much need self healing yoga practice, pray and coffee 💙
Working through the aches and pains of the body as I have no returned to my full time job. Returning to a job that is 85% all upper body and still rehabbing a shoulder injury, truly makes you listen to what your body is saying. Instead of my usually yoga practice this morning is a calm restorative shoulder, neck and upper back therapy focused practice. Letting myself release and let go all the tension that the work week has created.
So don’t be afraid. I am with you; for I am your God. I will strengthen you. - Isaiah 41:10 💪🏼🪴

Viloma Pranayama
Inhale and Exhale are through both nostrils
Inhale for a count of 2
Hold for a count of 2
Inhale for a count of 2
Hold for a count of 2
(Continue this process until the lungs are full)
Exhale slowly, deeply and continuously until your lungs are empty
Remember: when inhaling with this pranayama you want to feel the movement of your chest from bottom to top, lifting the chest up and stabilizing it

When exhaling keep the chest lifted and slowly release air through both nostrils. Releasing from the bottom of your chest
Work towards completing a minimum of 6 cycles ☺️

This mornings meditation was all about letting go….sitting in stillness, closing the eyes, listening to the sounds surrounding, inviting them in, now drawing your attention towards your breath.
Pranayama for today’s Yoga Meditation: Inhale: 4 Exhale: 4 x2
Inhale: 4 Exhale: 6 x2
Inhale: 6 Exhale: 6 x2
Inhale: 6 Exhale: 8 x6
Let go of the count and return to your natural breath. 🧘🏼‍♀️

4 months ago I was diagnosed with a partial tear in my left shoulder. 1 week ago that tear has healed. Even though my shoulder isn’t 100% and still is swollen, I will continue to try.
This practice shows my left side is not as strong and balance is a struggle right now.
However, that doesn’t mean these transitions won’t become easier and when they do I will continue to find new ones that challenge me even more.
Feel your body throughout your practice and notice the different sensations. Notice that your movement is special to you and will guide you through where you need to go. 💙
